Citra Emulator - 3DS Home menu

Жыл бұрынIt's now possible to open and sort of use the home menu in Citra, however, it does have some issues still, as expected.
This is just a video of me unwraping games that I already had installed in my citra emulator as .cia files, since that was the most convenient for me, at the end the emulator crashed when trying to open the home menu settings, I think it may be because on some systems there's no wireless switch, and so on those systems you enable that throigh here, and the emulator crashes since it's not able to determine what system you're on, but this is pure speculation from me, I don't develop the citra emulator and I'm no programmer, so while the emulator is open source, I have no idea how it functions.

there still are downloads around the internet, i got myself a citra .dmg file from a reupload. ( .dmg files are like .exe files but for macs)

Do you know how to put a game in the card slot and the difference between a minimal, new 3ds, and old 3ds download?

From what I can tell there's virtually no difference between old 3DS and new 3DS firmware apart from being able to boot into new 3DS exclusives for the new 3DS firmware and the new 3DS firmware forcing the emulator to run in new 3DS mode, as for minimal that doesn't boot up on my end, it could possibly be only for essential files for certain features like miis, but I can't confirm. And for game cards, there's currently no way to load them up on citra.

okay, so in the disc. you are probobly right, but this might be able to be fixed via the home menu .cia from an real nintendo 2DS, as they dont have wireless switch.

For me emulation and download roms online is ethical if the system is discontinued. Now 3DS is discontinued, I have no reason to buy one or mod it due to emulation being superior

i tried asking for help on a discord server for .3gpx plugin ctgp-7 (android) and was told to buy a 3ds, and got banned bc piracy bad or whatever. it's incredible how people can help but choose not to

Yes, but closing them often crashes the emulator

@@NikeJP-mp3cuI don't know, I have tried but I honestly don't like it, I never intended to make content like that and honestly the method is far easier now, I was More willing to before since it was more convoluted, but now I don't think it warrants it too much citra-emu.org/wiki/aes-keys/ That's the link to the instructions after you've followed them, you'll be able to download the home menu And yes, you need a 3DS with CFW

Cause the 3DS home menu is not a rom, it's something you download directly with citra and you need to extract keys from your 3DS for it.

Running the latest 3DS firmware Guide at: citra-emu.org/wiki/aes-keys/ If you meant if I'm using either the new 3DS or old 3DS version, it's the new 3DS version
