It’s the mark of an excellent chef that a vegan meal isn’t just an afterthought.. that was a work of art with the “egg” yolk and a “bolognese” that has 2 red meat eaters (Panda & Pete) raving over… this is when great chefs are like artists

We ate here for Christmas Eve on our first-ever trip to Disneyworld some years ago, and it was truly a perfect experience in every way. So glad it has maintained its excellence! The three of you make a great restaurant review team (although I say the same thing about the Craig/Ryno reviews too!).

Putting aside theming and focusing just on food, Citricos is definitely my favorite restaurant in Disney, and perhaps my favorite restaurant in general.

I am happy to see you review this. I went a few years back and thought it was amazing. The best meal I had on property in awhile, but you guys hadn't been there/reviewed it in awhile. I agree with everyone. Gotta try it

What a fantastic informative review. We have reservations for both Narcoosees and Citricos when we visit WDW at the end of the month, and I expected N’s to be the one I’d enjoy the most, but after seeing this….thank you guys 😊

I was so excited to watch your review! I actually have an existing reservation for Citricos for 3 weeks from tonight! I stay at the GF several times a year and have never been to Citricos and it has been on my list for awhile. I can't wait to try it! Thanks for a fun and timely video!

We just dined here for the first time a week ago today and it was FANTASTIC…I am so happy I can finally say there’s something to make up for the loss of California Grill since it’s gone so downhill. I finally have a new place I can call my nice Go To! I absolutely loved everything about it!!

We just dined at Citricos for the first time last week. It was my daughter’s 21st so we wanted to go somewhere special. It was the best meal I have ever had at Disney. I had the rigatoni. Besides the food, the atmosphere and decor is wonderful and our server was top notch!

We love Citricos because just as Erica said the vegan dish was the best she’s ever eaten. One of if not the best food on property. We went in January and had to go again last week. Great show. Love your crew.

Citricos has been one of my favorites for years. At a minimum we go there for my birthday, but we go more if we can schedule enough trips to duplicate dining choices.

My wife had that vegan pasta dish in 2021 in December and I am the biggest meat guy in the world and the dish was to die for. That was awesome. That restaurant is awesome.

Completely agree with this review, I had dinner there last year and it was excellent. I’m heading to Narcoossee in a couple of weeks to see how it is now that it has reopened from its renovations.

Wow, thank you for this review. I think I know where I am taking my wife for our 15th anniversary later this year now. Citricos is one we've always had our eye on. After watching this, this is the kind of blown-away experience I want.

I’m not one to typically comment but I just want to say what an incredible addition Erica has been to the DIS! I especially love seeing her in the food reviews. I’m not vegan and don’t have dietary restrictions but it’s great to see what other options Disney offers. She also has such a positive attitude but will say if something isn’t good. Thanks for bringing your energy to the videos and news each week, Erica. Also def want to try the soup after Pete’s review. Thanks for another great review DIS Team! 😊

I've been debating on going here vs Grand Floridian Cafe for our upcoming stay. We have 3 young kids so worried Citricos may be too fancy. But it looks like it's a comfortable place and you've convinced me we should try it! Thanks for the great review!

Loved seeing this review. I have not yet tried Citricos but now it is on my list. I want to try the short rib if available. I might be looking for a friend or two to go with me. For I doubt I'd go solo.

Citricos is one of our go to restaurants at WDW. Never a bad plate on the menu. In top three; Topolino’s Terrace (Riviera Resort), Citricos (GF Resort), Jiko (AK Lodge). Nice review. Great news on vegan dish.

Just ate here last week; we also ate at Topolino’s….this was better. I had the arancini and short ribs…both stellar. Everthing on the table was a home run. But the service was impeccable- our server had been there since opening day 35 years ago….his passion and love for the restaurant and resort was just the best. 💯 will come back next trip!!

I’ve been to citricos twice and after this, I would love to go back since they did the little makeover /retheme of the place! Also, if Pete says something twice, it must be real good and real important and to be heeded!

For the last year+ this has been the best restaurant at WDW outside of V&A. Topolinos, Flying Fish and Jiko are in the running for second but it’s not that close.

They probably sous vide some steaks to well done in advance, then sear each one before serving. I used to order well done when I was younger. I would challenge Panda to try medium-well sometime. Especially if it's a fancy Disney restaurant, you will probably love it.

I agree with the flan. I don't understand the consistency. Gonna have to add this as a stop on our next trips. Pete had to be Mikey in the old Life cereal commercials. If he likes it, it has to be good.

Had the filet at jiko in January, it's every bit as good as Pete is saying. Although I got it cooked medium rare, the way all filet should be cooked IMO

Pete, it’s time to review Victoria and Albert’s! See if that surpasses Citricos and Palo’s! PS you’ll probably never see this, but if you do, please ask Josh Damaro to bring back 1900 Park Faire! I want to see you interacting with the wicked stepmother and stepsisters!! Bring the whole crew! PPS I miss Jackie, is she doing ok? I’ve been fighting a battle with my weight and am currently on what they call a VLCD (very low calorie diet, 600-800 calories per day), and love to eat vicariously through you guys lol

You can cook meat the best way possible but if the animal sucks, the meal sucks. John, you got lucky with a quality piece of meat if it was that good and super well done!

Citricos is solid. The menu could be more inventive. Every Disney restaurant has a filet, and half or more have a short rib and a salmon entree. I assume this is because Disney limits what the chefs can source, or alternatively it’s what tourists want. Citricos wine list used to be far better as well. These are problems Disney World wide though.

The easiest way to make vegan food taste "meaty" is to blitz freeze dried mushrooms into a fine powder and mix it in.

I’m not a pork belly expert, but I believe you roll the dice wherever you order from. The ratio of fat/meat varies across the entire cut, so the next order may have been more what you were hoping for?

All the food looked beautiful and delicious! And I was kind of shocked when we saw the wide shot of Erica’s pasta (when Pete was grabbing a bite) and saw how big the portion was! It looked much smaller in the tight shot of it. Very cool addition with the “egg yolk” tomato! 😮 Also, is “red sauce” an American term? I had never heard this before watching the Dis. I just call it tomato sauce. 🤔 Also, Pete! Please stop being so afraid of “vegan” food.

red sauce vs white sauce is how lots of pasta dishes are described. Red sauce = tomato base or at least not cream based

Always great entertainment and information. Being Siciliano, arancini is pronounced: arrrrrahn-CHEE-knee. Like Spanish, we roll single and double “r”s.

Went a few nights ago. Was extremely impressed with every dish EXCEPT the vegan bolognese that was so highly praised in this review. The person in my party that ordered it actually sent it back after we all tasted it and agreed it was subpar. First time I've been burned by Pete's normally spot on taste. As a replacement she got the chicken roulade which was excellent, quite possibly an even better dish than the short ribs I had. I'd overall highly suggest Citricos just tamper your expectations over a vegan dish, this review highly highly highly overrated it.

This sounds like a lot of words and not a lot of opinions if you know what I mean, like we're taking a while to get to the point, I don't know I'm 10 minutes in and I'm out, I'm glad you enjoyed the food tho, seems like they are settling in nicely over there
