Our full review of the Citroen e-C4. Is it as comfortable as everyone says it is?
We tested the Shine Plus trim which is no longer available, but I've noticed you can get some great deals on these second-hand now. They were about £19k when I reviewed it, but now I see they're as low as £13k! I'd be very tempted at that price.

When I filmed this back in summer, this model was about £19k on the used market. Now, I notice on AutoTrader they're as low as £13k! www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202307169707525 If you're looking for a used EV, this is a good bet!

I bought that car 3 weeks ago for £14k (no idea why it remains up or why the price was cut by £750 after it was sold). I really like the way it drives, so smooth and quiet yet still feels reasonably 'connected' to drive. Seats are great too. I'm not finding the efficiency that good especially now it's colder, but within its range (120 miles or so) it's a lovely thing to drive. I had an e-208 as a courtesy car and immediately noticed how much less comfortable the ride is in that, driving them back to back. Even from £16k for a lower-mileage car they're very good value IMO given the comfort and practicality.

Nice to see someone actually MEASURING the boot-space - as you said - litres are a meaningless dimension. With the back seats down it seems to be about the same size as the Berlingo van, which is JUST big enough for my purposes (another 10cm length would be nice!) - but hopefully a lot less insurance, as the van is considered to be a commercial vehicle.

It’s a personal thing but sometimes you test drive a car and it just feels “right”. That’s what happened with the e-C4 after trying several of other EV’s. Sure the range isn’t outstanding (but more than enough for day to day) and the performance is average (but some of us aren’t boy racers any longer), it’s just a really comfortable practical car. Nearly two years on, no regrets.

The main thing I like about the eC4 is the ride and comfort, the lane keep is the same annoying default and button location on my Vauxhaul work van - I hate it with a passion. However - get yourself up the road and try a Volvo XC40 - or I can bring mine round for you to have a good look and get my impressions after a year of driving the Twin - good small family car. I have seen the new EX30 and due for a test drive early next year when available. Volvo is Scandinavian understatement and simplicity ... Integrated Google Maps on Android Automotive ... plus the Lane keep can be off as default 😁

In 2021 Volvo Cars took over all China operations by an agreement and use a ready made Geely battery chassis platform to reduce costs. The rest of the car is designed by Volvo including new electric motors and Android Automotive for the computer controlled software.
