Hello. Do the controls on the steering wheel work? It is possible that the canbus decoder in the menu is not configured correctly. You could also ask the seller from whom you bought the Android unit about this problem.

@@Minoas521 Check which car is set in the canbus menu. You can also try with Peugeot 307, 308, 408.

@@AdrianDragan ah right that makes sense. Did you have a link to the black variant of the screen as I have the one for the silver but would much prefer purchasing and installing the black version.

On the car where I installed the camera, the owner also had the Android unit with a silver frame, but he painted it matte black.

Hello. This Android unit has a canbus decoder that receives information from the car's computer and displays some of it on the Android screen, such as this one about open doors.

I have tried 2 canbus decoders, the Reise that came with the device and a SimpleSoft XP decoder. The Reise was a complete disappointment, I couldn't even get on the menu of the car because the on screen controls didn't do anything. Thankfully, the steering wheel controls worked so I managed until the second canbus arrived. Things got a bit better with the XP Decoder but still disappointing. It can read the doors opening and closing and you can use the on screen controls to access the car menu but that's about it. No dynamic steering on reverse, no other info about headlights, wipers etc. Honestly, I get a ton more info about the car from my OBD2 reader rather than the canbus. Seems like they prototyped these things on Peugeot cars and the slight changes between Peugeot and Cotroen throws them off somehow... Maybe in the future I'll try another canbus, or maybe @Adrian had better luck/knowledge to help us out! Anyway, that's my experience. Hope I helped.

@@Niphrentil thank you for your response! My car has the RT4 (big screen) so I would not be able to fit it below the multimedia. This means that I would loose the ability to see diagnostics errors and this isn't worth it for me.

@@Guilherme-gn4no yeah, if you already have the factory Navigation system, it's not worth to switch it for an Android Head Unit. I would recommend an OBD2 reader though, you can connect that to your smartphone and get extra info about the car (engine load, vacuum pressure, air intake temperatures and much more) and also get rid of pesky fault messages.

Hi. There are many models of units with different versions of Android. Canbus XP usually displays info messages but cannot guarantee that it will display on any drive.

Hi Adrian, it is for my peugeot 2008. The power i take from left side where the cables are for the lights, info i get from a car repair shop. It is not possible to take it from the lamp it self

He Adrian, some while a go you have install same Multimedia unit for 308. I have buy this kit works perfectly, my wife wants this also for her 2008. Everything works accept i have stripes in the display when i put the car in the back gear. I dont know how i can repair this.

This is due the CAN network, which uses ac power to check the status of lights in this case. You will need to install an AC filter. After you install the filter you will have a clean image

I insalled a rear view camera on my C4 to the android head unit and the camera quality is lengths above what is shown on the video. I'm guessing either the electromagnetic band needs reversing (like @Waka_1111 suggested) or it's just a faulty camera. My advice is to get a couple of cheap cameras and try them out before screwing them on to the frame. If both look good, keep one as a back up. If none look good and no settings seems to fix it, try and getting a higher value, quality camera.

The electromagnetic band sensor don't need drill on the bumper, is sticked directly to the inside of the bumper and costs like 10-15€. You power it with the reverse ligth wire and so when you put reverse the sensor activates.
