Every week, the city of Phoenix releases new updated crime statistics broken down by city blocks. There's one factor that connects each of the five city blocks in Phoenix with the most crimes reported.

The light rail station attracts a lot of crime as well

I shop at the Walmart on 36th and Thomas and it's the pits! Although it's been getting better since they placed those cameras in the parking lot a couple of years ago. However I think there are much worse places in Phoenix. West Indian school road is way worse in my opinion, as is Maryvale.

I second your thoughts on the Maryville Walmart. I only go there if I have to buy a certain item that I cannot find at the Dysart and i-10, or Camelback and 101 WM.

I was attacked sluged in face slugged multiple times on right ear to steal my purse at the montebello 19th ave light rail station.

Around 12th street and Roosevelt is not very good either. Also Maryvale and Tolleson as a whole are rather to be avoided. Tolleson though has improved to some extent as of late.

I have only heard of one crime in Tolleson, (a guy tried beheading a taxi driver). But, Avondale is getting more crime since the Covid pandemic.

@@darronsanderson4837 Tolleson and Avondale are definitely both pretty bad. At least if the eye test is any indicator. They’re looking more run down than Globe lately

The Walmart on 19th Ave and bell rd is the closest Walmart to my house. I don’t go there alone and I won’t go to that Walmart after dark no matter what.

Lol that's not that bad I grew up going to the Chris town Walmart although I live by the happy valley one now and even there is getting much busier

I know that walmart very well I've gone there for the past 16 years, They want crime down then use common since. They should have 2 security guards in uniform patrolling the outside & 2 undercovers inside patrolling theft/cop near.

@JASON LAWLESS yes I will I love walmart but yeah I know what you mean the long lines kinda suck half an hour at the most is really all I like to wait in line.
