I am originally from Cleveland, Ohio and now I live in a nice city called Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio near the Cuyhaoga Valley National Park. Northeast Ohio is a very nice area with lots of contrasts from inner city to countryside. I would like to shoot videos around my neighborhood and in the National Park. Thank you for another good video with very good advise and tips. And because of your tutorial of Hohem iSteady M6 earlier this year i also bought one this summer. And i love it. I have been using DJI OM3 and 5 now for some time before i got my Hohem. And DJI was good but Hohem is so much better and stronger. Really love it. So thank you for your tutorial and advise for it. Hi, FYI I am from Barrie, just north of Toronto. I ordered the new S24U and was thinking of using the new phone to record walks in parks and trails; Algonquin park would be on this summer. Do you think this gimbal would be a good fit for something like this or is it overkill ? Another question would I need the Ai pce for filming trail walks if I am not vlogging ?

Zdenka, great to see you producing a video featuring an Android camera. Yes I use to be a iPhone fanboy, but then I found the Samsung S22 Ultra, and now the S23 Ultra. They are amazing smartphones for video production. Ideal in many instances where larger gear is not ideal. Thanks for your video, Hope to see much more featuring Android cameras.

M6 is only for smart phones. MT2 it’s a big gimbal also for mirrorless cameras. They are both equally good just for different cameras.

Ahoj Zdenka, Michael from Adelaide, South Australia. Your videos are great. I have the S23 ultra and recently recorded videos at 30fps. When I watch them on my phone they appear smooth, however when playing back on my TV, the motion seems to stutter and not be so smooth like on the phone. Do you know what the cause might be?

Was it filmed in automatic mode? I noticed it as well.. it is the variable shutter speed. Just out of curiosity try to film a clip in manual mode and then compare.. many greetings, I hope you are doing well

As usual, great video, Zdenka. What would you say is the longest extension pole/monopod that we can use for the Hohem iSteady M6 gimbal?

If it helps, we can not say which is the longest possible, but we have an 'Amazon Basics' monopod that we usually use with the Hohem M6 (and sometimes with a DJI pocket 2) and that is 1.7M at full extension plus the Hohem on top gives us about 2M. It works perfectly. So longer than that should be fine.

@@simracingrx9049 As mentioned we use an Amazon Basics Monopod with the M6. It works fine on full extension and hand held so at that point is probably reaching 2.5m with the M6 mounted on top. The video we made at the Maspalomas Soul Festival / Beach Partyi s a good example using this exact setup for some of the crowd shot inserts during the live concert footage. Don't see why you would need a link when you can just google for the item of that name, yeah?

Hello, I love all of the tips and product info in all of your videos. I am using the Hohem iSteady M6 with a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra but I have found the gimbal is drifting when I am trying to film from a fixed place ( I am not moving at all and I am holding the gimbal Still ) would anyone be able to help with why this might be happening please? I am a COMPLETE NOVICE at all of this. thank you for all of the videos you do they really helped me with picking my stuff👍, keep up the great videos.

That is a very good question and very common one. All gimbal drift. They are not built to film a stationary shot. They are supposed to be used only when you are moving. So for stationary shots, you need to use tripod.

@@ZdenkaDarula As I've understood, not one gimble can't support manual mode of the original Galaxy Ultra camera...It's terrible: you buy a top expensive smartphone (exept iPhone) and can't engage on it to cinematic video, because not one gimble doesn't support manual settings(((🤮

Hi Zdenka, we always appreciate your advice. Kinda similar to City Filmmaking, we like to make nightlife/party videos but have never seen any advice or help videos on how to do it. Probably for us it is not so much the technicality of the video recording, though we really do want to get the production quality as high as we can, but how to record good video in this setting when you have no control over what is happening so you can't script, plan or reshoot anything? We've not found any help on this sort of video making, nor for that matter can we find anyone else on KZfaq doing what we are doing in this scenario with several independent cameras simultaneously so we can learn from them. Basically we feel like we are kinda making it up as we go along at the moment but don't really have any expertise in doing so. Can you advise yourself or point us in the direction of a resource to learn by? At least can you suggest anyone else who is doing what we are trying to do so we can check out their video production and try to learn from that? Surely we can't be the only ones trying to do this.

With the types of videos, you are producing you pretty much have to film anything and everything and then makeup the story in the post That is the only way of doing it

@@ZdenkaDarula Hey Zdenka thanks for the reply. Yeah that is pretty much what we are doing, filming as much as we can, often several hours on one night/event and then putting the best parts together in post. If viewers like it we often publish a longer 'take 2' version using more of the material we recorded. So far we have a few rules or understandings whiile recording, we tend to split up and if we see another member of the crew filming in the same spot we go and film separately. No point two filming the same stuff yeah? Or two of us may stick together and decide something like 'I'll film the timeline and you mingle and get all the cute closeups so they can get inserted during editing' while the third one goes elsewhere and does their own stuff. It just seemed common sense to do it that way but we have no prior experience or qualifications in this. It seems from what you say that we kinda have it right but it would still be great to see an expert cover this sort of film making. The big problem with the method we are using at the moment is that there may be 4-6 hours of raw footage to watch through to get a 25 mins final cut so it is very time consuming to edit.

Yes, and no 🤣 you probably didn’t want to see that answer. Just wait until I get my hands on the 15 promax. I will compare those two phones together for sure. Android has better camera, but unfortunately, the compatibility is not that great with the gimbal. It is a little bit more frustrating to work with the files.

It does over expose such as iPhone. The camera is better on the S 23 ultra but iPhone is more compatible with everything is much easier to work with.
