my fair city needs to declare bankruptcy, dissolve the city council, and be taken over by the state. Once that happens the police and fire contracts need to be nullified and renegotiated, the police review commission needs to be dissolved, and an interim city administrator needs to be appointed. If ever there were a failed city, Oakland is it.

I heard Armstrong was closing in on Andre Jones. Then abruptly he's fired. My guess is Jones had Thao fire Armstrong and not replace him so the pressure on him would go away.

Probably somewhat low odds of charges even being brought, especially if it's on the spot because of something else (like being called to a scene) and there's not even a warrant involved. But when the FBI are involved? You just know there's a paper or electronic trail and several months of surveillance that have led up to it.
