Imagine the ones who don't use body cameras? I can't believe there are still police departments all over the country that don't utilize body cameras yet. They should be mandatory. Yeah. You have to do some serious mental gymnastics as a police officer to try to explain that it is NOT A CRIME to try to TAKE PEOPLE'S PROPERTY FROM THEM WITHOUT CONSENT. That's ridiculous, and he knows it. "But had you explained to him that you didn't want to be touched?" If anyone tried to grab the cop's camera off of him, then defended himself by saying "but you hadn't explained to me that you didn't want to be touched, officer!" then that person would be taken to the ground and cuffed!

@@Enfors You give this cop too much credit when you state "... and he knows it." Like most places, NJ only requires a recruit to be 18 years old and have a HS diploma OR G.E.D.! That's right... this cop was most likely just some floundering fat a$$ that now has the power to arrest (his favorite part, I'm sure) and nothing more between the ears than what your kid in High School knows and six months of "academy" where the preponderance of the time is used to show cops how to hem people up or drive like jerks on the public roads. Texting while driving is dangerous for everyone except cops??? We need to have much more stringent requirements for LE because, unlike the military, they DIRECTLY interface with the public and have forgotten that Law Enforcement is a service to the people. Imagine if a doctor acted like he was doing you a favor by even seeing you for your problem and then ignoring what you're describing because "you're not a doctor" and he is. Ugh.

@@DiffEQ I have no issue with only requiring a HS diploma. I have an issue with a lack of training and a lack of doing what is right. No one needs a wasted higher education for this. The issue is with police unions, qualified immunity and their inherent bias… they never get punished for doing what’s wrong, given zero moral compass when operating. I do agree with you however on them having exemptions. when we treat them like the rule of the land is laws for thee but not for me it only makes them worse. Basically confirming for them that they are a sovereign entity. Texting and driving, speeding, being able to commit an untried crime and get away free because “qualified immunity” and having police unions be more powerful than our governing bodies all make for police to be functionally fucked… they don’t care about us and they proven this many times. They are protected and will protect other. It’s the “good ol’ boys club”

This cop is an example of one of the more insidious types. He presents as amiable and gentle, maybe even friendly. But this is a disguise! Don't let your guard down because he will turn true to form in an instant without warning. You can see the clues in his "copsplaining". He does not care about your rights. He is not there to protect the public or to enforce the law. He will, however, enforce his will on anyone he perceives as being insufficiently subservient, especially if he can get you alone or in the dark, but those are not required conditions.

Oh, it is very different when he gets touched. Even if you accidentally brush up against him or his partner pushes you into him while you are handcuffed. That is aggravated assault on a peace officer and maybe attempted murder. Because you know he is always going to claim you were going for his gun. Some of these poor guys are so timid that just looking in their direction from across the street puts them in fear for their life. How is that different from touching a citizen? We are made of sterner stuff. We can take powerful blows to our head and body without moving. Massive jolts of electric current pass through our bodies without causing any noticeable effect. Our joints can me forced into extreme angles with no injury. This is why, when the police are attempting to affect an arrest and the subject does not hold completely still while being subjected to these legal methods of compelling compliance, you know the criminal is resisting arrest and assaulting the officers, otherwise he would just lay still.

21:06, the look on the cops face when K-9 Officer Rodriguez stepped up is priceless. He pointed the matter in the right direction and should have been the lead officer. The big cop was just embarassing himself making things up as he went and flat out acted like a drama queen. Glad it ended well.

I was disappointed at how you handled that situation Sean. I would of definitely filed charges against Gary. If he acts like that on camera I can only imagine what he does off camera. He needs to be held accountable.

Omg! The hoops this cop was attempting to jump through to justify your assault is mind numbing!!!
