Lol, these guys are hilarious to watch. What the hell is so steampunk with this any way? Just get acrylic that have that "gaussion blur" look like that from the beginning and scratch it with sandpaper if you feel the need to destroy it, and then put on top of the mirror. You don't need to ruin the mirror. Because face it, you sooner or later rather have that mirror useable rather than scratched. If you want to be ordinary and smart at the same time wich must be a very rare trait amongst your companions... then use stuff that people throw away and give them a new purpose by using those objects instead of sending off to landfill wich is a hallmark of the majority American Lifestyle. Not by buying new stuff and modifying them. The whole point of IKEA hacking was from the beginning to repurpose your old IKEA furniture and accessories than buying new stuff and altering them.. I bet they just throw that dresser afterwards... I mean, it probably never gets finished and you don't want something someone else altered right? ...only human.
