City of David

Among the conclusions of the scientific research conducted by the Israel Antiquities Authority, Tel Aviv University and the Weizmann Institute of Science is that already in the 10th century BCE - the days of King David - extensive activity was carried out in Jerusalem;
by the 9th century BCE - the days of King Jehoash ad possibly even earlier, the city expanded to the west towards Mount Zion; the city wall unearthed in the City of David was not built during the days of Hezekiah as part of the preparations for the Assyrian siege, but rather earlier, during the days of King Uzziah, subsequent to the earthquake that occurred in Jerusalem.

Pretty cool. Explains in the Biblical text where the storerooms were built in the house of the Lord. So when I saw the bullae found of Isaiah and Hezekiah, I knew that that room was in the house or temple of the Lord. Really brings scripture to life.

Very cool time capsule. God has placed that bat before hand to bring the dates of the Kings' ruling periods and events happened in Jerusalem. Glory to God in the Highest. Amen

I love it when new evidence of God's Word to humanity, proves true. I love the Jewish people's History. There is no other Nation like this on Earth. God chose them to be His people, His wife, nothing other but "Because I love her". Read Deuteronomy, the profets of the Old Testament sees this book as the marriage contract between Him and Israel. It is a suzerain-vassal treaty. ❤

There is a 20-year mistake that is being taken as gospel: The G.A.D. of 586 is based on Ptolemy's canon. However, it was never intended to give an accurate chronology of the Babylonian kings. The G.A.D. for Cyrus' conquering of Babylon, 539, is carved in stone. The return of the Jews, then, was 537; and few argue with that. Multiple scriptures give 70 years for the Jews exile. Hence Jerusalem's destruction should be dated at 607, not 586. (If the destruction was 586, then the exile was not 70 years. Is the assumption that the Bible writers who actually lived during that era were that bad at math??) If you're going to do Bible chronology, use the Bible! If you're going to ignore the Bible, they why waste the time and money digging and dating all this material?

Inappropriate. AD refers to JC, means year of our lord/anno domini. Kinda like when Biden said Bibi had to have a "come to jeezus" moment. Tactless!

Yet the language was nearly dead by the 3rd century bce and only had 8,000 words to call its own. “Biblical times” is a fairytale. It is just history.
