A lot of people are saying that the host got int the way of the explanation, but there were several clarifications that she made that the guest presenter missed, and I think she did a good job with this segment.

She only explained 3 things: 1 - make your hair gritty where the pin is supposed to grip your hair 2 - pin in the opposite direction of how you started (do a u turn) 3 - use twists to hide the pin (although I think they didn't zoom in on this since she failed to use technique 2 properly - the twisted hair was sticking out a bit like a horn lol )

Yes, pins are needed for them as well! As for Brunettes, I've only seem pins for blondes and ravens. I wonder if brunette pins are online??? All hair colors are beautiful, but I briefly wore an auburn wig because I did not want to dye my natural hair. I'm a natural mix of raven/dark brunette/silver/white.

if you put the pin in so that the bumpy side is against the scalp, they stay in better and don't slide out . I have topical skin allergies due to chemical burns on my scalp. I can NOT use ANY hair products in my hair, so I discovered that the pins stay in better if I put them bumpy side against the scalp and criss cross them like she showed.

I can use some stuff, but I got to act selective, for I got Keratosis Pilaris. I cannot use coconut oil or argan oil, for instance, but I can use tea tree oil while washing hair. Which is very helpful, for I got dandruff issues, but going to get the Goody copper brush as soon as I can, it's suppose to help with that. I saw it in stores a couple months ago, hope to afford it this coming month.

what the heck is 'salt' spray? she seemed to use it forst in a black spray bottle and then in the mini Shwartzkopf dry shampoo bottles. And what is Salt Spray? I rewound it several times because if my product contains salt, I didn't know it and if it does, I'm finding another. My hair is terrible after an ocean vacation.
@ItsMeHi116
@ItsMeHi116 4 жыл бұрын
S Lynch You also have to remember this video was from 2014 however, she is talking about "sea salt spray" which is a very popular product to create "beachy" hair and waves. They do contain salt, so you have to be the correct hair person. There are tons of different sea salt spray products on the market. My first time trying the sea salt spray thing was Bumble and Bumble "Surf Spray" in maybe 2007-2008? I think they actually may be one of, if not the, first companies to do sea salt spray. I do agree so much with dry shampoo too getting the hair "dirty" I love that stuff (or even baby powder!) but it's usually more for oily, unwashed roots. The spray is for the length of the hair to grip.

Rain Hernandez, let me clarify & reiterate. I myself would not presume to use the word. However, I personally grew up with close family friends who have a strong prevalence of red heads within their family. Their mom, the kids (who I grew up with), & now their kids, all use the term to refer to themselves, each other & other red heads. I have heard other red headed individuals also refer to themselves as “gingers”. So u cannot say that it is not subjective. I suppose some people are just overly sensitive & some just embrace it & “own” the word

NO NEED for the current powders and sprays - just more unnecessary hype and harm to the environment. She doesn't mention "roller pins" which do the work of about 5 bobby pins for updos. And crossing pins isn't necessary either if your apply the first pin in properly. Updos, when done PROPERLY don't make you feel afraid to go near a magnet because of the overuse of pins.
