Civ 6 | This New Secret Society Makes Preserve Yields TASTY (#1 Deity USA Civilization VI)

In this game of Civ 6, we’ll be playing a new modded Secret Society for Civilization VI. Combining preserves, new haven districts, national parks and Bull Moose Teddy, we can produce an empire that makes our previous yield records obsolete.

I'd actually just had an idea for a Preserve-heavy Secret Society, though I flavored my concept more as like a primitivist/anti-development nature cult thing where, alongside the Preserves, you were actively encouraged to pillage things as much as possible and prevent the map from having any improvements anywhere. Abilities centered more around 'prevent people from winning' than 'actively getting you to a specific win condition' but this one seems really neat too

Pretty dumb because pillaging requires wars and a preserve based play is better suited for peace

To be fair, you could focus on having actual infrastucture on places with low appeal, you know just making the best of what you got. also you could have tried to go for a religion that goes well for appeal, since the nook with dessert on your capital IT'S REALLY HARD to get to and it's just desert nway. besides that, i don't see ANY need to build more stuff really, at last on high appeal cities.

yeah it's very true. if I hadn;t been playing BM teddy I would have done more of this, but I liked the idea of keeping districts to a minimum just to test the mod really

Swashington's harbor should have been next to the left spice tile so that eventually you can embark your traders to/from your capital area

Having just finished a gane with the Harmonists, the Haven improvement you get in Industrial era is just straight-up overpowered. Carpet every tile not already under a preserve or national park, and you'll have 50 pop before you hit the Atomic Era. It even extracts resources, adds 1 housing and allows preserves to add yields so theres never any reason to not build them.

Never - they're very very good! The only problem you have is the lack of great people points but honestly this secret society is so fun to play

@@UrsaRyan Yeah, as someone who likes having lots of great people, that was a significant drawback. Still, I also love appeal play and fun improvements that play off and with neighboring tiles. Plus, sometimes its fun to just be too powerful to be stopped. :3

#87 - Preserves are your only district eh? No campuses means no University of Sankore. How fortuitous there'll be no university considering you have yet to submit a UCAS application.

You should be! In this case this was my first roll, and you can believe that given how IMPOSSIBLE it was to leave the island. Had I seen more I would have rerolled admittedly!! Glad I didn't

It does! Sometimes. I was trying it but Civ 6 has this weird glitch sometimes where keyboard shortcuts stop working till I reset the game. Who knows why

Being able to choose your Apostle promotions is always good in any game - you set your religion up to give you food and science and then spread it with ease for yields and to give you a Crusade bonus should you wish to expand - very fun strat normally!

Didn't you know that Holy Sites grant +1 appeal to adjacent tiles? You could have placed one in your capital.
