Game 6 Peace Weight Hoedown: Napoleon 0, Ragnar 0, Stalin 2, Joao 6, Roosevelt 8, Victoria 8, Gandhi 10

With such a heavy difference in Peace Weight this is guaranteed to be a violent game. Either there will be many war declarations or wars that rage for ages. Gandhi and Napoleon are going to fight, Napoleon is too war-eager not to declare on anyone and he's going to hate Gandhi with a burning passion even before border tension starts up. One thing I notice is a dearth of copper resources. Lots of iron, not much copper except right by Napoleon and Stalin so there is some potential for early warring to get one or both of them into a strong position. I expect Gandhi to be extremely vulnerable for the first 100 turns. Being in a corner with no river running through the continent his religions (yes, I'm assuming he will found multiple) will be slow to spread and his Peace Weight allies are on the other side of a super aggressive enemy. Joao will be fine provided he doesn't do something utterly brain dead early on. He will expand into those floodplains for sure. There simply aren't any resource clusters he can see at the start to pull his AI in any other direction. He might have trouble if he can't secure iron though. Napoleon has quite a good starting position: food, copper, horses, and elephants all within easy reach. That said the land outside of his capital is not good as he's got desert on both flanks. He could send his first settlers in any direction. Let's see if Ragnar can repeat his feat of losing his capital to the barbs! I kid, I kid but he is in a position similar to what Shaka experienced. There is no copper within easy reach so he's going to want to go to war and won't be able to because of no metals. He will have horses though and with Financial and a gold tile he won't be a pushover. Someone is eventually going to have the Viking menace at their doorstep and it could be anyone! I don't even know what to say about Roosevelt. If Napoleon doesn't attack Gandhi then it is likely he'll go after Roosevelt and I feel that even with Gandhi's low train unit emphasis that Roosevelt might be a softer early game target. No copper and no cultural emphasis make him an easier nut to crack for that part of the game. If Ragnar and/or Stalin also come piling in it won't be pretty. Victoria has a decent starting position albeit one that is forest-choked. She isn't alone in having that so not as much of a damper as it might be otherwise. If she wants to win she needs to make friends with Roosevelt and take down the warmongers. What she doesn't want is someone eating Roosevelt and then using that boost against her.

If there ever was a chance for ragnar to do something here it is. Friendly stalin to the west and victoria for conquest to the north. He has napolean to keep Ghandi from running away with it. Of course ragnar will expand to 3 cities and attack stalin because its ragnar

I don't know where else to post this but I submitted a turn 315 Spaceship victory for Pacal and a second place finish with Darius pick on game 5 (Hatty FTD) and, for some reason, I didn't score any points in the contest... maybe you haven't finished doing the totals but I just wanted to make sure I didn't get skipped somehow despite my poor choices. I feel like victoria might do well in this map, ragnar will likely suicide into her and roosy gonna be a nice shield for her. Fin + that gold on starting position might be enough to tech fast and outpace everyone.
