I just had someone do this to me today. I was going 55 in a 55 with no one behind me. This guy sat at the stop sign the decided it was best to pull out in front of me forcing me to slam on my breaks so hard u could see smoke from the tires. I was honking and this asshole had the nerve to honk at me like I did something wrong. Cause potentially getting hurt or dying or my 6yr old and I getting hurt was worth not waiting those 2 seconds to just pull out after me where there were no cars. We got a new truck and I told my husband to hook the dash cam back up immediately. Too many crazy drivers out there not to have one.

@@katieburak93 The Northeast (Massachusetts is highest on the list), California, Washington, and Minnesota have the best drivers in the country since public transportation decreases the number of bad and/or drunk drivers on the road and the highest number of college degrees so the people there have a lower chance of doing stupid shit being the wheel. In fact, the state with the worst drivers, New Mexico, is the only Blue State in the top 10. Every other one is a solid Red State like Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Montana, or Wyoming. I hope that people are reporting the driving behavior of these semis to their respective companies. To be driving a vehicle that weighs so much and doing it so carelessly and recklessly is so crazy, especially with how the survival rate of a semi crash is significantly reduced compared to crashing into another 4 wheeler. These people need to have their CDLs permanently suspended along with other drivers who have no regard to other people on the road.

When you stop behind someone so close you can't see their plate, you're to close. I was always taught when stopping behind another vehicle, you should be able to see their tires. This way you have room to quickly move out of the way if the car behind you can't stop in time. Also, if you do get rear ended, there's less chance of you hitting the car in front of you.

Dude why flying by. Due to his speed, he could also be seen at fault. He had more than enough stopping distance. Sure the Civic pulled out, but homie had options to slow down from further back and even swerve out of his lane. He was going so fast, we know there was probably no one behind him or to his left where he could have made an escape. Purposefully getting into an accident even though it wasn't your fault in the first place probably doesn't make you walk away from the insurance situation at 0% fault.

@@ar_2015 people like you are the reason why defensive driving courses should be mandatory. Whenever you see someone pulling out like that (especially when you are THAT far away) always assume they’ll do something dumb and slow down. If they don’t do anything dumb, you maybe added 1-2 seconds to your trip. If they do something dumb, you are already slowing down and will break/react quick enough to avoid a crash.

There's nothing wrong with being annoyed at people's driving mistakes. Driving mistakes cause crashes. The stakes are high with driving. Therefore, it's reasonable to get upset when someone makes a mistake. It's one thing to make a mistake on your taxes, or make a mistake putting something together, or make a mistake in the kitchen. It's a whole other thing to make a mistake on the road when that mistake can cost lives.
