Yessir. I forgot to mention that I replaced my entire valvetrain and installed BC titanium dual valve springs, titanium retainers, and new 270cc injectors as well. After I break the engine in and save up a little more money, I do plan on going turbo. As of right now, I have my eye on a S15 SR turbo, but I may as well go ahead and do a top-mount setup since the KA is big enough to spool it. I haven't really made my mind up yet. I plan on using megasquirt to tune.

This is my build list: Weisco 9:1 compression ratio 90mm forged pistons, MLS cometic head gasket set (comes with new gaskets for the top-end), Eagle rods, clevite rod bearings, whatever bearings the shop used for the mains, ARP main & head bolts and studs, ARP fastners on the rods, exhaust ported, new oil pump, new water pump, new thermostat, 400hp rated Comp. Clutch, short shifter, Circuit sports motor mounts, magnaflow 2.75 in exhaust, walboro 255lph fuel pump, The motor is still at Roger's.

Yes, I heard of Roger's shop. When I had GSR rebuilt, I went to Watt's of Wylie for machine work. All I'm asking is do you have a built KA or a stock KA. No doubt a stock KA will beat a stock LS, or any stock non-vtec for that matter. I don't know much on Nissan besides I had a moment where I wanted a sr20det. I've done 3 honda swaps and 2 rebuilts so I have nothing but Hondas.

I'm pretty sure I know Tony. Did he used to drive a 99 civic SI w/ the B16? I think the last time I saw him he has a true type R Integra. I don't know his last name, but my buddy Cameron is good friends with a Honda guy named Tony that referred him to Watt's. Small world haha. Does the K20 head flow better than the K24 head? I'm assuming it probably has more aggressive cams as well considering the K20 has more HP (other than 2012 SI) than the K24.

My hatch back looks just like that one except no carbon fiber trunk. I raced a bolt ons 240sx with a 94h23 nonV prelude that was a good damn race 240 was pretty quick for stock 90s car.

And I do realize that i will have to install bigger injectors later, but my factory ones were worn out, and I didn't want to mess with having to get the flow correct on a set of larger ones. After I get my EMS, I'll get some cams to help that head flow a little better.

Btw if people don't know the potential of a ka24de when introduced to boost better hop on google, both gsr and ka love boost. Ka will need atleast a built bottom and gt30 or bigger to reliably keep up with a k turbo though

@tienshenhan86 Lol. Had a little more than an intake im sure. Only about 8-10 hp out of a good intake any way. Gotta go mannie headers and exhaust to really make a difference.

My friend had his B20 w/ B16 Vtec head assembled by Watt's. He said that guy was nuts, but that motor is a beast! It's more powerful than his B20 w/ GSR head. I just wish he'd ditch the LS trans and get a GSR or B16 tranny. lol Oh, and both motors were in Tegs. When he had just the B20/gsr head... we would be dead even every time. After we fixed his vtec, he would start slowly pulling away in 3rd gear. I would get the initial jump on him (Maybe because of torque?), but he would always pull away

If your driving around in a stock honda b16,ls,h23nonV those kA motors make for a real damn good race gsr hatch should race a SR swap since their both in the 14s with bolt ons.

It should make sense that you're able to kill non-vtec hondas since they are around 110 whp and 80 wtq. So do you have a "fully forged KA" or "nothing but suspension upgrades, keeping up with maintenance, V-LSD, and a magnaflow resonator and muffler"?

i dont really hate civics but i dont see how you could out run a properly done turbo 240 (unless its a KA lol) cuz ive had a gsr Integra that wuz fully built n/a and its not as fast as this s14 (its a SR20DET crower 264* cams, 3" turbo back exhaust, a bigger turbo on 16lbs of boost, and a FMIC that is flow matched to the turbo) but SORRY about the shopping cart comment! and if i ever make my way over to Pensacola i will take you up on some racing

I rolled around on a relatively stock KA for about 2 years. The rest of the mods have been on the car shortly after I bought it. I'm really not trying to down-talk Hondas. A RHD JDM Teggy / kswap is one of my dream cars. It's in my top 5. Not only that, but but I've been am considered a "C" level Tech for Honda, so I know them better than I do Nissans. I've done 3 Vtec swaps and 0 S13 swaps. I love imports, so let's not turn this into a honda vs nissan thing. They are both great car companies.

I do have a fully forged KA being assembled at Roger's Machine Shop in Garland, Tx. However, the engine was stock before I blew the head gasket about a year ago then decided on a full rebuild as I have another car. I have no reason to bullshit you. I have great races with LS integras. They have a lot closer to the same HP as my stock 240. All I was saying that a 240 is capable of beating out other cars on the road w/o turbo. My personal experiences may be different than yours, I respect Hondas.

Nah he drives a GTR. I believe he still have his 8 second street teg. He's a tuner and owner of T1 racing. Is Cameron the guy with black eg hatch with blue patch? I talked to him a few times at garland race. Some say the k24 head from tsx flow just as well as k20a2/z1 but again tsx are pretty hard to find and expensive so alternatively k20 head is the best choice. Other k24 head (crv, accord) are just plain weak. With all stock k24 frank, you're looking around 215whp 180wtq.

yeah my buddy has an sr 20 with a 72 mm turbo and is pushin about 18. if he drops down to around 8-10 i can keep up, but anything more and he toasts me. it's straight though. just a little car shit talkin lol. it makes it more interestin

ok how many cylinders is a v8? wasnt the Honda S2000 the first car to produce 100 horses per liter? i have a 12:5:1 compressed b18c for daily driving and its horse power to the wheels is at 204. which to me, aint bad at all. IF honda produced v8s im sure the outcome would be completely different and domestics would have some serious competition. But honda kept their cars family and gas efficient.

The 240 would need some serious mods before it would compete with a gsr motor, I assure you its not shifting. As he said in the title, it is a stock 240. It doesnt put down as much as that civic. HP to Weight, The civic won all around. Turbo the 240 and it might be a different story. might.

In my old eg6 i had the stock d15 and would wax my buddies 240. The eg6 i have now full gsr build smoked another 240 turbo. Non- turbo 240s suck.

I like Civic hatches, but you swap an SR20 DET into that 240, that Nissan will give it a run. Better yet, an RB26 swap into that Nissan..... Toast!

the hatch is way lighter and haves a gsr. You need to build that ka24de with a better top end and turbo that bitch. then odds will more fair.

Honda does produce v8's but that is for Indy racing, and all of those v8's have to meet certain requirements, and Honda wont build a v8, and really horsepower per liter that would actually mean something if it was more than two liters, with domestics, you could go old school, carbureted and make horsepower easy, with these small motors, you have to go FI, wasting more money, and you actually would have to build the block to good a decent rise in power, im in the midst of building one myself

Sorry that i took it the wrong way, But it always seems to be people who don't own the brand that start bashing on peoples vehicles. It always ends up being people who post videos of them and favorite the videos of mustangs and write on every Honda video, "Ricer" or "That car is a POS, Buy a better car." I don't write that for everyone just people who do it to most Honda videos and Vice Versa for the vehicles they like.
