When I was in Pakistan, I had Civic 84 and overhauled its carb in 1990 against everyone's advice. It was a huge success because I had the shop manual of my Civic. The reason I did it was that the engine used to bog down whenever the accelerator was floored. It was the carb plunger which needed replacement. I got to clean the jets also. I learnt so much. The fuel economy improved, idling improved. Moral of the story, if you do it right, it will come out better.

For this Civic's air intake problem of ingesting water, removing the intake pipe is good, even better is to shorten the pipe and turn it 90 degrees, so that the opening is on the fender side.

Very nice work. I have worked on cars all my life and I am a professional engineer. I assume you did it but forgot to narrate that all 3 rings on a piston should be offset during installation to avoid oil escape and that all bolts of head or block should be tightened in a cross pattern to avoid warp (it was done like that in the video, very nice). I liked your use of torque wrench. Keep up the good work.

well, the final noises of the engine are still there, if there was a budget of 50K then you should teach the customer to spend more than 5K to remove the noises, or it could be your mechanic fault that he could not fix those noices. Not happy with the engine Sound.

Salam bro. Though u did it perfectly. But in Islamabad if u are just going to repair ur head gas kit. They will ruin ur engine for sure. Had 3 bad experiences in islamabad. They just replace head gas kit with out head facing and they charged for head facing.
