One of the things I was personally impressed with was how well the film was paced and held my attention, all in a relatively brief hour and 49 minutes. Having watched the trailer now after seeing the film, I didn’t see anything that was not a part of the film (maybe a shot or two? Idk, I’ve only seen it once). The lack of definition is going to be the most divisive aspect of the film. I’m sorry the rest didn’t work for you like it did for me. -Mikiah

@GreatAmericanMovieReview They could, at least, explained why there WAS a Civil War, and WHY California and Texas joined forces. Even the movie poster of the Staue of Liberty didn't appear in the film.

Yeah, not giving the reasons was a definite choice and one done clearly to make a point that it doesn’t matter. My one problem is that, while the film seems to criticize “staying out of it” and pretending like it isn’t happening, the film also chooses that path by not providing any real context outside of the vague idea that the President has manipulated the system to get a 3rd term and that he approved drone strikes on civilians. Which might just be enough of a reason, but it’s going to be disappointing to some that the conflict is not explained much at all. -Mikiah

@GreatAmericanMovieReview I think the reasons for the Civil War woukd be of great importance to the audience. Also, the long conversations between Kirsten and that young reporter became maudlin and boring as the movie progressed.
