He sat down with AP entertainment reporter Krysta Fauria to talk about why the movie about a modern civil war in the U.S. is hitting theatres in an election year, his respect for unbiased reporters, the "fuss" over his comments about upcoming projects, and Cillian Murphy's "moving" Oscar win. #alexgarland

I watched the first few minutes of his interview on NPR (which DOES NOT allow comments). Garland made comments about how uncontrolled extremism is what he was depicting and his concern about extremist groups in general. The part he leaves out is WHO gets to determine is a person or a group is extremist,... Biden has declared any white conservative 2nd amendment supporter is an extremist and a danger to democracy, Diane Feinstein stated anyone who ever served in the military should be considered mentally ill. People also say the conditions in the movie are unrealistic and could never happen, that is wrong and equal to burying your head in the sand. There are people today who are just waiting for the spark that starts the wildfire, many factions with an axe to grind. Disruptions of supply lines, food in particular will bring out the worst in people, think New Orleans Superdome after Katrina and remember that at any one time there is only about a two supply of food within the borders of the US. As for the chaos in his scenario, remember chaos is a ladder.
