Civilian vs. Navy Medicine - HPSP Scholarship Recipient LCDR Nguyen

LCDR Josephine Nguyen applied for and received a Navy HPSP scholarship to attend the medical school of her choice, at no cost to her. Now, as a Navy Physician, she doesn't have to worry about the things that distract from care, and dedicate all the time she wants to help patients.

Proud to be a Vietnamese American serving in the U.S. Arms Forces with many of them in all branches military, government levels, private sectors and even in Hollywood. Thanks to this great country that produce many generation that serve the country and country that need U.S. Arms Forces liberate people the world dictators.

I work with CDR Nguyen, she is a very caring and dedicated doctor. As a Corpsman she is one of the best Docs I've ever had the honor of working with.

Hi! I am a teacher and I have an eleventh grade Vietnamese student that wants t become a doctor. She is so awesome. She has only been in the US for 10 months and she is already speaking English. I want to encourage her by showing her Dr. Nguyen story and would love to have the doctor contact her. Is there an email where I can communicate with Dr. Nguyen? Thanks!

Could someone please tell me if I can join Navy Medical Corps if I didn't go to military school? And also can I join the Corps if I wasn't born an American?

+97Saia You do not need to go to a military school, however you must be a U.S. citizen to join the Navy Medical Corps
