A thesis statement is one or more sentence that expresses the main idea /arguments/stance of an essay.
Objective: To summarize the whole essay in the form of plans or stance. It also connects the introduction with coming paragraphs.
Location: Ideally it appears at the end of the introduction and at the start of the conclusion.
Length: A thesis statement focuses your ideas into one or two sentences. It should present the topic of your paper and also make a comment about your position in relation to the topic. Your thesis statement should tell your reader what the paper is about and also help guide your writing and keep your argument focused.
Types: It has two types: Faulty, Ordinary, and Extraordinary.

Amazing Sir , it's really informative for aspirants of all competitive exams and especially for essay paper. I am now relax - because the most difficult part of IAS is Essay and thesis statement- and now i can write a wonderful essay.. I am pleased for your such sharing of knowledge with others.
