This Civivi Starflare button lock pocket knife in lime green handles and satin finished nitro v wharncliffe blade may just be the best box cutter out there right now.

Just because something is made in China doesn’t automatically mean it’s going to be garbage. That looks like a quality made knife. From the opening to the closing and the sharpness test was the best I’ve ever seen, you were slicing the paper really thin. Thanks for introducing me to a brand I haven’t seen yet.

Seems like pretty good quality! And it turned that paper into confetti - very impressive. Also, thanks again for the knife oil! I’m definitely going to get some great use out of that.

Interesting knife. That blade is great for all around utility. I don't really get into modern knives, or where they come from. I believe folks can buy whatever they want, it's their money. 👍👍

That one is pretty nice. Good working blade and button locks are really handy. As far as the Made in China thing, try and find anything in your house that isn’t? Including most knives. They used to be crap but these days there’s more of a collaboration between the U.S. and China so the quality has gone way up while the price remains affordable. That’s a cool one John.

@@JohnKlahr , Thanks man. You know I’m “old school” and know what good old blade steel was like. And man, I tried my hardest not to be roped into the new crap they put out now. But, that’s what we got now. And lots of these knives are really impressive. They’ll never have the soul and nostalgia of really old knives but they’re way more practical now. One-handed opening and closing didn’t exist in our day. Then again, neither did computers. I fought against both for a while, then just kinda gave up. These new knives are cool and I don’t care if they’re made in China. I can’t afford most American-made knives anymore and actually the quality isn’t nearly what it used to be. Oh well, hope you’re settling in and doing fine.

I use a folding utility knife for breaking down boxes, about $12 for a good one.

That knife is not my cup of tea. Would like you to pick up a Mercator Black Cat carbon German knife and review.
