I was asked by several people to actually demonstrate writing with the CJ Roundhand style I featured in a previous video. It's a simple presentation to show the "hand" (what written styles are called) clearly and without editing distractions, enhanced only by various cuts of music.
Since this is a FAQ, here's a list of the pens used in the video:
- Pilot Metropolitan M (silver zigzag), Noodler's Black ink.
- Pilot Prera (clear demonstator body) with an EF nib taken from a Pilot Penmanship, Rohrer & Klingner Scabiosa ink
- Pilot Metropolitan F (gold), Noodler's Brown ink.
Paper: Rhodia #18 (A4) lined (7 mm) with margin
Also: if you compare the grain on the board I'm writing on versus the edge of the paper, you can see I tilt the paper 55-60 degrees counterclockwise, which is somewhat exaggerated for a rightie. So, left-handers, don't worry if you have to tilt the paper to get the slant right (although it'll likely be clockwise). Do what works and is comfortable.
