Spiller has to be one of the most explosive college football players ever. He was on a whole other level.

Quite possibly the classiest player in college football ever with that kind of athleticism. Great guy, certainly wish him the best in his pro career.

There has never been a Clemson player quite like CJ. Oh boy, was he electric! He should have at least been a finalist for the Heisman his Senior year.

He was exciting to watch. You just had to see him in person to really appreciate how fast he was.

Spiller has been one of the few bright spots for the Tigers over the last 4 years. He is an incredible talent and I will miss seeing him in orange next season. Thanks for memories, CJ! I look forward to seeing your name in the Ring of Honor very soon.

Don’t get me wrong - I absolutely love Etienne but CJ was on an entirely different level. He WAS Clemson for 3 years. He’s not just a top 3 RB in Clemson history, he’s a top 3 athlete in Clemson history.

I’ve always known that even with all the guys that came after him, that he was no question the best RB Clemson has had in my lifetime (since 2000). Watching this again. His acceleration/top speed are incomparable to any RB we’ve had since. On the college level I can’t think of a player I’ve ever seen that quick with the strength/balance he had. Jacoby Ford definitely was a show to watch as well, but I can’t comprehend how freaking quick this guy was. As a fan, he has got to be my favorite player to watch that we’ve had. Over Watson, Lawrence, Ettiene, Ellington, you name it. All great, but not this level of exciting.

I remember being at the Ball St game back in '09 to start the season...and once he crossed the 50 it was one of the most electric, thunderous, moments I've ever seen,heard, and been a part of...we were all like "Already? It's Spiller time!" The only moment that was louder/bigger that I was at the game for was another Spiller moment....his breakout game against GT in 2006 you could actually feel the stadium reverberating that night...magical!

Sad to see his NFL career never took off, the bills didn't use him like he was meant to be used, he was mostly injured while playing for the saints. the seahawks have younger guys, I think he should just hang up the cleats and call it a day. probably will be seen as a bust which the bills and his injuries are to blame for.
