These appointments are wrong. You cannot tell me they are the most qualified. Why did the CJN not leave the appointment of his daughter in law for another CJN to appoint? Does it mean that if the present CJN does not appoint his own daughter now, the person cannot be appointed during another CJN tenure? Must it be now? Can't the person be appointed after this present CJN has finished his tenure? How do you want to explain that they were not favoured? This is not right.

The level of nepotism is nigeria is so brazen and it stinks to the high heavens. It's no surprise why nothing credible and honorable can come from the judiciary and other arms of the government to benefit the citizens. This is very sad. Appointments that are statutory are supposed to be based on merits, due process and not on nepotistism as it currently are. The trend in nigeria is for the children, spouses and families members of those in authority to get into position of power in the government offices. Public trust in the process of these appointments is long gone. Its a shame.
