Today we are installing Custom Autosound's Slidebar Radio fitting all 1967-1973 Mustangs on our 68 Mustang Coupe. The Slidebar radio is the perfect blend of classic look with modern technology. At first glance the radio looks like a standard factory am radio, but slide the middle tab over and it reveals a modern LCD display.
This radio features 25 presets, 300 watts of power, 7 different colors for the display, plug ins for an iPod or iPhone, auxiliary inputs and outputs, 4 speaker power and can be upgraded to work with bluetooth.
Once installed we were quite impressed, the Slidebar radio sounds amazing, is easy to navigate the functions, and best of all looks exactly like a factory 68 radio. Does the display light up green like the original AM did at night/when headlights are on when it is in the old school AM configuration?

When slid over to the digital side and just showing AM does that light up at night... so there is lite radio when not using it?

I'd settle for the original radio for my 73 mustang Mach 1 to fit the gaping hole that's in there now , I can't hear the aftermarket CD player I've got tucked in front of my shifter now over my exaust. Do you guy's sell non working original radios for a 73 mustang Mach 1 ?

I always disconnect my battery when car not in use. With my new stereo install, do I have to hook up BOTH my constant power and switched power wires? I have hooked up only my switched power wire. There is power going to the stereo, but stereo not working. Wondering if the constant power wire needs to be hooked up as well.
