Thanks. Just worked for me. I didn’t really bother taking the fan down to look for the code, I just used trial and error by using a combination of switches. My fan remote stopped working after a drop, but the light was still on so I knew it wasn’t the battery. One of the switches may have flipped accidentally.

Tab 1 down 2,3,4 up was the same for me. I switched to all up because the battery wire kept pushing the 1 tab to up position. I was in there anyway, right?

Thanks for sharing were the receiver on the fan is. However, you don't to go through the trouble of removing the light fixture etc. There are only 4 switches on the remote giving 16 unique combinations. You can try one at a time on your remote and see which one works. In my case, I felt my wife would have inadvertently moved the switch. So, I tried the four switches against what position they were and got the fan going on the fourth attempt

Having been a ****Prof, Researcher and R&D manager in engineering***, I know how these small things could throw off a project (read about how a $2B moon lander or something was lost because we in USA use FPS system Vs our UK partner used MKS system) :) . No dip switch on mine! The receiver and the remote talk when power is turn back on after being off. Then once the receiver gives a long tone I press the light button on the remote and watch for the light to turn on. The light on the ceiling unit and the fan have to be on the highest setting manually before syncing the remote with the receiver! My unit has a thermostat control as well.

@@CJsINFO I did replace the battery first. Then after posting here I went and tried putting the wall fan setting to the highest level. I pointed the remote at the fan and held one of the buttons down for a minute. Then suddenly it started working. I think the battery was one problem, and then I don't know if was a matter of which setting the wall control was set to or if there was a pairing done by pointing the remote and holding a button down. I had done that once before to get it going.

@@CJsINFO I have this issue as well. My remote works to turn on fan and all modes work. The fan/light are hooked up to a standard single wall switch. When the switch is on the light comes on and to turn on the fan, you must use the remote. Therefore, the remote operates the fan, but does not operate the light at all. It was wired this way when I saw it. Do you have any idea what needs to be done ?

Works great.

SImple solution. Never again ceiling fan with remote. Manual operation with simple strings are friendly to operate, no additional costs of batteries and thats it. have gone thru all kind of modern ceiling fans including hunter and so on, but now I go with only old fashioned manual operated ones.
