The term "springer" is used differently up and down the coast. In northern Oregon, they will tell you they get late Springers.

Yeah I was also looking at the treble hook. I think nowadays you can only use a barbless single hook, is this true? Is that only in Puget Sound? When was the video shot?

You can use double treble year round on the Clackamas.

During the fall chinook run on the Columbia you can keep wilds most years. Also you are aloud 3 hooks trebles or single point. That way the guys plunking from shore can fish 2 spin n glos and a plug. All sorts of combos are possible but all hook points must be barbless.
