2:28 surely you could glue all those slat slivers into something? Chamferization by table saw, so cunning. Seems the burning temptation to always reach for the router can sometimes be avoided. What a nifty desk Mark, I like that the legs are hollow which dramatically cuts down on the weight and leaves a space for the hairy grey spiders to creep in and make families. The number of mitres that you cut is staggering and you didn't even cheat (by routing the lines out later) down the edges and you made all those individual squares instead. It's all there in one funny, informative and inspirational package. Sawdust sliding, slabification, glue uping, cockups, mathification and so much more. If there is one person on the internet that will get people out in the shed and just getting started it's you. Thank you for the hard work that you put into bringing us you videos. (Edit: I forgot the science, that's not really a table saw, it's actually a mass spectrometer)

Thanks Mark for another great video. Love the desk (and the dog). I giggled all the way through (as usual) - my partner often asks, “Are you watching that pallet guy in Australia again?” 🙂 I plan to get a pallet buster this month and start the journey. Thanks again to an Aussie Bloke from a Welsh bird living in Surrey, England. 👍

Nice build Dainsy. I must be honest and confess that when I saw the bedhead I thought, ''Dainsy must have picked that up off the side of the road, there's no way he'd have one like that'....☺. It seems that was not the case. Never mind, moving right along.... The desk looked amazing. I'm pretty sure the WANCA method has been around in one form or another for a very long time and has been used in many different ways. Anyway mate, keep up the good work. All the best.

I think the truly passionate woodworkers like your self live for buggering up stuff because that elevates you to the joys of problem solving and then self admiration for the solution. You have quite a selection of colorful (colourful) words. Which is great if you Iive down under, however I suspect that that the majority of us up here are likely missing out on your true wit. May a short cheat sheet of your favorites translated? Or flashed on screen . A little brain teaser. Where on the planet can you go 1km south, 1km west and then 1km north and end up where you started?
