In 2019, my cat TT was diagnosed with feline kidney disease.
When cats develop kidney disease, their kidneys are no longer able to function properly, leading them to waste away until they die.
There is currently no known cure for feline kidney disease. That’s why I’ve spent the past few years painstakingly giving TT medication on a daily basis. These medications aren’t even meant to help her get better - at most, they just keep her disease from getting worse.
Obviously, TT wasn’t a fan of having to take her medication every day. Maybe that’s why she’s lost a lot of energy and motivation over the years.
However, last autumn, I learned about a lab in Japan that was working on a cure for kidney disease. I made a trip to the lab to see if I could find a way to help TT, and found hope for her future.
Now, TT and I are planning on making a trip to Japan to participate in the drug trials. I want to make sure she can participate before she gets any older, or before her condition deteriorates.
I know it’s not going to be easy. She’s a house cat, after all, and house cats aren’t big on long-distance trips. Even so, I have to try.
I hope that the end of this adventure can bring hope to not just TT and I, but all cats and cat caretakers around the world who are also suffering like us.

안냥 크집사 입니다. 얼마 전 티티&루루와 함께 바닷가에 다녀왔어요. 화창한 날의 마지막 여름바다 였어요. 조용할 줄 알았던 철 지난 바다는 여전히 많은 사람들로 가득했어요. 갯벌 체험을 위한 관광용 트럭과 세차장의 모래를 털어내는 소음에 티티는 조금 무서웠던 것 같아요. 낯선 곳을 탐험하는 것이 즐거운 고양이들도 있지만 티티는 아직 소음은 힘든 것 같아요. 그래도 천천히 익숙해지고 있는 티티가 대견하기만 합니다. * 루루는 모든 두려움을 티티누나와 얌얌이로 극복한 것 같아요. Hi, It's Claire. A few days ago, TT and I went to the beach together. (Oh, Lulu, too.) It was great weather, and everything looked great, but only TT was a little nervous because there were big-sized site-seeing trucks for the traveler and car wash center that made noise. TT is preparing for a long journey to Japan, so she has to get into noises and smells. It's a bit tough for both of us, TT and me. But we're getting used to all of these. And I believe TT can handle this. Please support TT and Lulu's grand adventure.

Claire, Where will the babies be on the plane? I’m glad LuLu will be there to support Titi, every time I see her I want to cry. One of my cats had renal failure and had to be put to sleep. So, it brings back memories. Love to Claire,Titi, and LuLu.

When Lulu is not hungry, he needs the love of his big brothers and sisters he is close to, so it is not a surprise he is trying to get so close to TT as she allows him to. He knows he is the smallest of the the flock, so he think he needs to do that 😍

I'm glad the activity is helping TT's numbers. LuLu braved water for treats, sand and sun are nothing. It looked like both of them handled the airplanes pretty well, so maybe being on the plane won't be that stressful.

크집사님 영상을 보면 항상 마음이 편안해집니다 오랜만에 와봤는데 티티랑 루루 여전히 귀엽고 용맹하고 사랑스러운 존재들이네요 치료제를 찾으시는 것 같은데 하루빨리 찾게 되면 좋겠네요😊 2~3년 전쯤 집사님 덕분에 많은 것을 느끼며 삶을 살아가는 데 힘을 얻을 수 있었습니다 (라이브도 정말 많이 봤었는데 게임 재밌게 하셔서 즐거웠어요) 항상 감사드리며 언제나 영상 잘 보고 있다고 말씀드리고 싶네요 집사님도 우리 10냥이들도 모두 건강하고 행복했음 바라요 한 번 똥꼬단은 영원한 똥꼬단입니다😉

Honestly, I think TT has been looking better since you started taking her on little trips. Some of it might be stressful for her but it almost seems like she's gotten younger. It's so good to hear that her health has gotten measurably better too.

크집사님이랑 티티루루 즐겁게 다니는 모습보니 즐겁기도 하고, 카메라 밖에서 집사님이랑 티티루루가 얼마나 또 노력을 하고 있을까 하는 생각이 동시에 드네요~ 저는 조카도 돌보고 있고, 집에 두 마리 고양이를 키우고 있는데 나가기 전에 티티 쉬싸게 하시려는 집사님의 모습을 보니 육아와 육묘는 정말 한 글자 차이라는 생각이 듭니다 🤣 정말 다른 게 없는 거 같아요. 역시 한 생명을 키운다는 건 엄청나게 힘들고 책임감이 강한 일 같습니다. 티티랑 루루가 부디 소음에 조금이라도 덜 스트레스 받게 되면 좋겠어요😍🥰
