Lifetime Of Memories With This Guy Taught Me How To Write Songs

Clarence was too much...I sang his songs with live bands backing me..Sometimes,I got lost on the stage while singing..It was impossible copying him 100%..But whenever I sang his songs 'live' on the band stand with a very good band playing, which included a horn ênsemble,I was always in my best elememts..The soulful lyrics and instrumental arrangement were heavenly..So much miss you,Clarence..

I was 7 when this was played on the radio I liked the guitar the way it sounded. I would sing I'm a sixty minute man.... yes I am and my parents would threaten to whip me if I kept singing it. Ironically, my dad took me (still 7) to a diner and I found the song on those little juke boxes and asked for a quarter to play it. one of his friends gave me the money, I played it and my dad could do nothing but laugh. That guitar sounded sinister then as a child and still does as an adult. Wish I can find this to download.

I went to visit my family in the South at about 7 or 8,heard the song and fell in love with it, because of the guitar as well. I would play in my room on my record player until one day it just disappeared, I asked about the whereabouts... my parents just looked and would never say a thing. At that time I could not understand what could have been the problem, lol.
