Okay...wow! This worked for me! I have been frustrated by my inability to hit the low F right off. I could work my way down to it, but not start with the low F. This fix has helped me to love playing my instrument more. THANK YOU!

Beck check if there is cork padding underneath the linkage, if its missing then either buy really thin cork sheets from an instrument supplier like Dawks of Maidenhead. Over time small pieces of cork will fall out due to wear and tear and especially cork tenon joints and if the pads are leaking or falling off then a full service is needed.

I have a story.So my winter concert I play clarinet and this winter concert was for 2017 Christmas.So my dad always orders reeds in a ten pack that I could use so the week before my concert it was like Saturday and the concert was on that Tuesday.My dad orders reeds since I only had one reed left but when he ordered it he didn’t order it off amazon prime.AND NOT ORDERING STUFF ON AMAZON PRIME TAKES SEVEN TO TEN DAYS.So I told my teacher that Monday please I can’t use this reed.But being the dumb lady she is she yells at me saying no you should’ve told your dad earlier.Yep So my reed broke at band class on the day of my concert.So I have no reed and I’m pretty much screwed.So at the concert I’m thinking I’ll just fake play but since I am a clarinet player people will see I have no reed and know that I’m not playing.So thankfully my best friend gave me a reed before we were gonna walk out to the auditorium.I was quickly putting it in and had it in my mouth getting moist then I took it out and it slipped out of my dumb little metal part and fell on the hard floor and was chipped everywhere.Thank god my friend had one more reed and gave me one and I put in on as we were sitting in the auditorium waiting for the show to start.My friend saved my life that day

My low notes are good, its the octave higher, Bs, Cs C#s, both hands that are hard to get in a fast passage. I did have it repaired, but those notes still are hard to get. I did use some light paper on closed holes, and one was not grabbing the paper at all. That Infamous Eb key. I believe that could be the prob, but, I am afraid to take key off and "strengthen" the spring. So, I will persevere!!

Hi,I'm wondering if you can help me. I assembled my clarinet correctly .The keys are sitting flush with the tone hole when I press the.Everything looks fine.But the lower keys won't play.As in ,no sound at all. Everything was fine a couple of weeks ago . If I offset the keys the bottom keys play fine .All seems a bit odd to be honest. Thanks in anticipation. Andy.

Is it normal when I’m playing my high notes for example going from F to open G with the register key and when I let go my thumb playing open G it’s high

when i play a regular e my tuner says its an e flat and when i play a low c it says its a low b

This must have helped for a lot of of others, but mine still isn'tn working. I'm first year, (5th grade), and my clarinet isn' t new. For it's the schools. I can do G, A, F, sometimes E, and sometimes D. I haven't been able to do C and B because everytime I try I squeak. Help,anyone! Im also going to tell my band teacher.
