No, Abbey was not on American Idol, Clark Beckham was ( Season 14 ). He was runner-up but he should have won! Clark had heard Abbey sing and d.m.’d her to come to Nashville and record this version of John Mater’s song. She accepted and they made sweet music together. Keep me where the light is shining. 🌞

Oh, and another thing, while you're at it: listen to Julia Zahra perform her cover of "Just an Illusion" on the Dutch show "Die Beste Zangers". She does an amazingly beautiful job. She wasn't on American Idol. Clark Beckham was. And, yes, he should have won, but he didn't. So, what else is new about that show? How many times have the best people not won on it? Sigh. It's tiresome, no? Anway, back to Clark. The next thing of his you ought to hear is his cover of "Tennessee Whiskey". It's a duet he does with a wonderful new singer, Madison Ryann Ward, whose true alto voice is a pure delight to hear. Clark really knows how to pick 'em.
