@Habib Mughal Basically there has always been an air of a wing and a prayer about the Euro, its a great idea, but not all the EU countries are equally committed to or equally benefit from a single currency
@somethinglikethat2176
@somethinglikethat2176 3 жыл бұрын
@@YAUUN I think the fact that some of the countries favoured very different monetary policies pre-euro is the main sticking point. For example while Germany maintained a strong and stable currency allowing business more certainty and confidence for long term planning, Italy on the other hand would devalue its currency for a competitive advantage.

Except that most of the money went to bankster creeps. French and German weapons makers "helped" the loans along to buy their arms, knowing full well they could never pay. Guess what? In standard law, the one who loans that way LOSES. So what's austerity? Their consolation prize because the impossible scam didn't work out. Tough fucking nuggets.

Why on earth would hard working countries like France and Germany, really productive countries that make things like cars, and planes and machinery and agricultural goods and so on, why on earth would they want to tether themselves to these economic basket cases like Portugal. Italy, Greece and Spain? I mean, it only goes to devalue their (now-shared) currency in the EU’s fixed economic, monetary and fiscal system and after all, it’s not as if they’ve got a lot of stuff to try and sell in markets like China, America and India, where having a strong currency like a Franc or a Deutschmark would be a severe hindrance on exports and...and...oh...wait a minute...
