it confuses me when kashman is smart

It's unusual when Brad and Kashman are serious but it's necessary. All gamers, rise up.

I think the biggest problem is that they dont know what the impact of their updates are. They dont know how the levels impact the players because they dont play the game enough like B-rad said. They need to become more connected with the game if they want to know how to fix it.

I have been trying to find a way to put how I feel about level 15 into words... and this video is those words. Thank you, Kash.

It was so shocking to see kashman being serious and not as energetic as usual. It was very different from what I was used to, but I feel like it helped bring his point across.

I just love how big content creators and a majority of community are in fight/discussion (it depends on your pov) with dev team to make this game better. You're all giving me some hopes that our World isn't as bad as I usually think.

It's really nice to see big members in the community talk about this and even provide good solutions for the problem, and i hope they listen and at the very least make level 15 a cosmetic or achievement thing rather than a mandatory thing to be able to compete. Card evolution was a good step towards a more fun way to progress but not another level to grind for, thanks for posting this video Kashman.

ive seen a lot of anti lvl 15 vids but this is by far the best. you adressed whats bad without being to anti-devs, you adressed whats good and also suggested a way to improve lvl 15. well said

One thing that nobody’s mentioning is how the elite wild cards make it harder to level up every other card. I have 3 max cards. Before the update I would never pull those cards from boxes. Now I will occasionally and get elite wild cards instead of cards for one of my cards that’s less than level 14.

When a clash royale legend like Kash makes a video of something like this you no it is something to think about. With all love and respekt: Clash royale is a game that you either need to waste so much time on or spend money like a completely madman.

Crazy that he thought evolutions would be for everyone to unlock instead of only people who pay because let’s be real no free to play accounts have any evolutions, unless you grind it for hours

What is happening now in CR also applies to Brawl Stars. They recently added level 11 which bothers people who had a Max account and there are no new special icons. Except from the new epic Brawlers, every new Brawler that comes out is simply a version of some characters that already exist in the game. For example, the new chromatic is a combination of Piper and Jacky

I think this video was a perfect way to explain one of the main problems and actually go into a possible, and brilliant solution. An additional solution to fix the update is to make it cost less. People will pay more as level 15 would be more of an achievable goal so supercell would get more money. It would also be more f2p attainable in the process.

This is very similar to the way EA has been monetizing games like madden. The difference is everything changes each year, supercell doesn’t have a parallel to this, just the monetization and the philosophy of “pay to compete” not p2w

Ive been F2P for the 5 years ive played and haven't even gotten a single level 14 card and now its even more of an issue when im trying to play real decks in mid ladder and going against level 15 megaknights and level 15 e giants, the game is going down hill because more people who have level 11s and 12s are demotivated and have no reason to play the game

Supercell is trying to use the same idea on Clash Royale that they use on Clash of Clans, and it just cant work. The two games are different, and Supercell can't try to update them in the same way

It felt a little weird to see Kashman being serious for once.

They could do new feature to level 15 cards, as an example maybe add gears?You can get them for masteries and they can buff card in different ways , as an example attack speed or maybe buff their abilities.For example, giant skeleton gets 7% buff to his bomb or ram rider stun cards for more time, something interesting, not just buff their stats every level, btw, level 15 requires 50000 cards, that is ridiculous!I think it should require 10000 cards

I've just came back on the game. I had a full account and right now, I just can play, because there is no fun to play against level 15 cards. And even with that new tower that's overpowerfull, the game is broken... I'm so sad to have to say this, but I loved this game, and right now I just can't play again 💔

My Simple solution: add custom towers to king level, like unlock wizard tower instead of regular princess towers at king 11, giga tesla tower at king 13, giga inferno at king 15 (then there's motivation to upgrade). (and may be more champion abilities at high king levels) And cap the card levels to the king level, so king level 13 can't have level 14 or 15 cards in battles. And finally matchmaking should match only same king level players, if there is mismatch, make both players at same king level which is min(of two players). Easy solution, players not displeased for not having maxed cards at same time they would want to upgrade. But idk why clash royale doesn't do this.

I also think them getting rid of free chest for playing the game was a mistake too because I was playing this game when it first came out and that was one of the things that I thought was really cool but since they removed it it's still very difficult to progress in this game in my opinion

The best thing we can do is resist spending money, even more effective may be to stop playing altogether for the time being, but I know not everyone is ready to fully put the game down yet.

A really good point about level 14 and champions. I've played on and off since princess and log dropped and was STILL not level 14 (almost 13) when this update launched. It really did feel like gatekeeping and I still believe that (albeit better nowadays) something urks me on having to grind the game sincelessly to get a few cards. People can be in 6k trophies and above based on skill alone and it really just feels like a slap on the wrist for trying to get good at the game.

Lvl 15 should be obtained by a challenge (specific to each card) that truly makes you think in new ways when using that cars

It's only been a few days and every match I play in Clan Wars is now against level 15 players & I'm losing most of my battles due to different interactions. This is extremely hurting my clan, just as we finally became active and had all 50 players play CW the other day & now many, including me, refuse to play anymore. I just maxed my 4 CW decks (one of which is my main PoL deck) after 2 years & they just raise the bar & I'm underleveled again. I'm done.

When level 14 was announced, i quit. I still watch B Rad and OJ, but actually playing the game is a thing of the past for me. I'm glad i broke my 4 year addiction.

This is the perfect summation of level 15. And the best thing is instead of just attacking the devs by calling them greedy, Kashman understands their position of needing to add progression and gives constructive solutions that will make both parties happy. You're a genius, man!

Evaluation is also limited to the same cards they love to upgrade and make stronger already. All of the same cards gets looked at all the time. Golem doesn't need anymore HP, Royale Giant either or the Pekka smh!

As a person who just recently hit lvl 14 on a ton of cards it was super exciting! The thought of having max cards kept me going and made me want to use different and new decks, now that lvl 15 is added the devs are forcing me to focus on 1 deck again as I need high lvl cards to compete. But with how long the road is for 15 is not exciting but just overwhelming making me not even wanna play anymore :( Note: I’ve been playing since global and seen all the ups and downs but I’ve never really considered to stop playing until now

Also the new card - arena thingy, Back in the day prince was in arena 1, now its way higher and ppl who played back then and unlocked it still have it even though they are in arena 1, i have fisherman (arena 15) in arena 8, but i still get destroyed by ppl who use level 12 megaknight

I don't even know if as a free2play and casual player i could have a level 15 card in a year because of the sheer amount of grinding i will have to do after already having taken 2 years to max 16 cards with a fourth done thanks to slash royale and the gold rush.

Not to mention the changes in masteries, changing 300 gems for 5000 gold. It doesn't even make sense in the store, in the store 10000 is 500 gems, so 5000 gold would be 250 gems.

When the update come with new arenas and more i got hyped for play the trophy road, but in my first match i already got a level 15 player with a level 15 mega knigth and gave up. I love clash royal but the game needs more love for the players

I’ve been using this deck for two years and it’s really being helping me climb recently!! Mega knight, prince, arrows, goblin barrel, Tesla, log, minions, royal delivery.

I've been playing since the release, fully F2P (not a single cent spent), and it's been rough to catch up to new "updates". It takes me like 3 or 4 more updates to catch up to the first one that came out. I'm Level 14, got 2 cards to Lv.15 and I saved up almost 3M gold. I'm just waiting for the inevitable Lv.16 update so they can do that 50% upgrade cost thingie and I can HOPEFULLY get to Lv.15. And mind you, I only have 1 evolved card (which I got for free) and I don't even use cause it doesn't fit in my deck. Playing against players with 2 evolved cards and Lv.15 decks, just cause they had access to their mum's credit card, isn't fun, to say the least.

Core gameplay such as upgrading cards is good but the problem is that it can be easily abused and supercell doesn’t seem to care as long as their rolling in the big bucks

There is also a huge problem in low arena’s with so many people somehow having prince, hunter, giant skeleton, tornado, and more, making it hard to leave low rank arena’s when you can beat the cards

Every second of this video i was staring and listening because when kash is serious it feels i HAVE to listen ,cuz it should be a very important thing he is talking about

i think that the tower upgrades is an awesome idea. not only would that be progression but more for me to look forward to. i recently came back to clash royale at arena 9 around 3 days ago and now im up to arena 12. progression is fast but when they add more features, it makes the game more enjoyable. maybe add new cards, or maybe add more rewards for levelling up. I feel like when i level up, it means nothing because i only get a simple chest which at the stage i am at, (level 28) doesn't give anything good. I need more of a reward than cards that i may never use.
