Also the reason why I think 0:46 might be cinematically the greatest shot, it fully emphasises on Godzilla’s immense size, and actually shows the terror and consternation caused by his mere walking. He feels like a genuine force to be reckoned here, where in the other clips he’s sort of painted as a giant fat brawler fighting off a massive ape.

Well....to be fair....Godzilla doesn't either. There is not a single instance of Godzilla running or retreating from any opponent in the Monsterverse. Not once. He never willingly gives up any ground to any enemy. Even when he's getting thrashed by Mecha-Godzilla he just keeps coming at him and never once tries to escape. That's why him and King Kong will be an interesting team up. They're very different but they have that never retreat, never surrender mentality in common..
