Looking back, Horikoshi actually had dropped small hints here and there. "I cannot stop twinkling" "The shape of my dream, I want to be an equal" Aoyama had no close friend group despite seemingly being a social butterfly. A heavy side effect of using just a bit of his quirk, just like Deku. (I mean, nobody else got suffered that bad, not even Dabi who's well known for having a quirk that harm him)
