Except Villeneuve is massively overrated. Fastest guy ever yet he only had 2 pole positions out of 70 starts. Even Didier had more. Villeneuve never had Didier's consistency and got beat by Scheckter a driver no one even remembers was a champion. In 1981 Didier always had turbo problems after he had great performances in Austria and Belgium that year. If he was so slow why did he held a lap record at Brands Hatch that went unbeaten for 5 years. It is by sheer unluck that he didn't manage to beat Latiffe in 1980 and even then only lost out by 2 points. He performed better than him all year and led so many races that he wasn't able to finish because the wheels on the car broke. Watch the races before you comment. That San Marino race is pure masterclass and one of the great duels of F1 and that duel happened because Didier decided to fight like a man for victory.
