Actually, ALL of the training is average, its the specific way saitama did it, 100 pushups would be divided in sets, but saitama did them in a row, the same for the rest, so essentially, saitama destroyed his arms and core, followed by his core, followed by his legs and core, followed by his legs again, this would normally incapacitate or outright kill a non trained person if done a few times, but saitama powered through it, removing his limiter at some point during his training, when that happened an exponential growth started to happen where he simply started adapting to the training, and at some point after 3 years, he reached a level of growth where if you make a clone from him 1 day prior, he's capable of oneshotting himself from 1 day before, meaning he's at bare minimum like 1000x stronger than before every single day
