When the planet which represents out intellect gets combust what might the native go through?
The concept of Mercury combust is explained in short.

I have combust mercury with sun in 8th house in virgo sign and I have difficulty in speaking, like I can't pronounce lots of word clearly😢😢😢😢😢... But at least God gave me power to speak what if I was deaf and dumb..... Maybe I am clearing any of my past life karma by having some fault in my toung.

Thank you! Pranayama, indeed met me young and I'm glad it did. I just started looking into this Mercury combust idea as that's the setup in my chart, the Western method is my training ground. I'd been wondering after reading a few things that only mentioned the drawbacks why I don't have those things so strong anymore, though I do struggle with them like having a hard time separating my thoughts from my sense of being. So, Tai Ji is the deepest part of my training and took my Pranayama many steps further and indeed that's the core practices that have trained my physical body's intelligence and my proprioception, my animal senses are all trust worthy even when I'm not consciously controlling them. As you say, the breathing, the stillness allows the open space that goes way beyond the Sun to the edge of Space and thus Mercury has the room to speak. To live without the disciplines in breath with this setup seems a bad trip to me. I've got the far conjunction on the tightening side, 12 Mercury and Sun 14 Capricorn in the Tropical zodiac. It's the direct Mercury, so way out on the other side of the Sun. Indeed even though I learned to speak before I was 2 years old I often had a hard time finding my words throughout life. The kung fu training lets me have the inner quiet to allow the words to arise as needed in the moment as it flows.

I have combust mercury in 9th house with conjunction of sun and ketu . But my score was always above 90% more or less and currently studying mbbs from a prestigious govt medical College. So its not always true, though I'm not an expert in astrology regarding the effects of other planets so pardon if I'm wrong

Sun and Mercury conjuction within ONE DEGREE, in ARIES, Sun exalted, so it has to be even more powerful! Rishi Sunak, british MP. Check his horoscope, he is doing completely fine. Hello there , I also have almost same combo... Same Sagittarius ascendant, mars + ketu 10h, sun +mer(combust)+Venus 11h, jup +rahu 4h.... But in 'KP' chart it all moves to mars+sun+mer (combust)10h , ketu 9h, Venus 11h, rahu 3h , Jupiter 4h .... God knows about wife... I ll update if I married first , are you married yet? Also I am in semi govt job related to electrical.. do try for govt job ...👍

Sir i've read at many places that combustion takes place for 14 degrees, can u reconfirm that its 3 degrees? I have a comparatively good intelligence considering i cracked 2 of the difficult national level exams in single attempt, (medical free seat in both ug and pg) but my chakra has a combust mercury with in 8 degree gap from sun. And mercury is in conjunction with venus jupiter and mars in 8th house.. house being dhanu rasi (lord jupiter in own house in conjuction with mercury).. how should i understand this? Combust or not?

From my perspective I take Mercury to get combust within 3 degrees from Sun and for Venus it is 5 degrees. For other planets it is 7 degrees of within that on either side of Sun.

Sun and Mercury though conjunct but Mercury is not combust. For Aquarius Ascendant Mercury is the 5th & the 8th lord and being posited in the 9th house will give an opportunity for higher studies - like PhD or interest in research related area.

Excellent explanation. My 6 yr old son has sun mercury and Rahu in the 9th house Leo. Mercury 24 degree, sun 28 degree and rahu 18 degree. He has autism. Pls suggest remedy for young children. Jupiter and Venus in 10th. Saturn mars in 12th. Moon in 1st.ketu in 3rd.

Does combustion apply when Sun and Mercury are in different houses? Mine is not in 3 degrees, but a bit over 8 degrees. Mercury in Gemini and Sun in Cancer. But both are in the same Nakshatra. Can you please interpret this situation, Sir. Thank you very much.

Obviously when a planet gets combust it loses a lot of strength. Though Mercury is well posited in the 9th house and being the lord of two quadrants it should be giving benefic results, the fact that it is combust makes it weak and less effective.

Any planet when it is combus does not fully lose its strength. Though some astrological texts suggest they become very weak, some are of the opinion that the planets lose only 50 percent of their natal strength. When planets are retrograde, that is Mercury and Venus and are combust then it is considered that the planet loses only 25 percent of its strenght as it gains back strength through chesta bala. Here, when Mercury is combust and also exalted gives back a lot of strength to Mercury and will actually give positive results if it is let's say 2 or 3 degree from Sun. If it is totally combust in the same inclination (when it eclipses Sun) then the planet is deemed very weak.

Not really.. i think with mercury retrograde and combust, person's anaylytical skills become more active.. and if by any chance he sees he is looking a bit older, he will analyse this thing, and will work over it.. and he will think over and solve any business problem..

@@raghunandangrover2334 I’m not sharp, but my logic is 24/7 on. However, due to my laziness and low level of understanding, I’m poor at mathematics. About dealing with peoples, I can shut them with a single reply most of the time. English is my second language, and I’m fairly confident in it. I like mystery/thriller movies and love to solve mysteries (imagining myself as a detective) That’s all what else do you want to know. And why do you wanted to know these things? Are you an aspiring astrologer or perhaps have the same retrogression and combustion of mercury and wanted to know if your experiences matched with mine?

You are not weak in mathematics, it is just that either you haven't found the right teacher or you don't think much over it. With Retrogression & combustion of mercury you can achieve perfection on any matter, provided you put efforts & time on it.

@@perpetually_lost_fella mars is in Leo for me as well s it helps with parivarthan yoga but since mercury is 6th lord for me I don’t think mercury personally helped me when it’s dasha came and I have Venus placement too so I definitely more talkative personality with my closed ones and behaves like a kid (mercury )

@@swaathianbazhaganangammal248 For me, sun being the 5th lord in 12th is actually making me a very reserved giving me a very highly introverted personality and yeah it's said that if any planet is in the 12th house, it kinda loses its energy and working capability of that specific planet and here sun is actually losing its energy, ego and vitality inside of the body and yeah I can personally feel that. I feel drained, drowsy and tired everytime and it also causes some kind of existential crisis in life and that thing too came true for me. I had a hard time deciding my career and to get to know myself as like who am I and where does my interests actually lies and all and I started to search in the quest of finding the answers to these kind of philosophical questions. Mercury being in the 3rd and 6th lord, it's making me interested towards things like philosophy, psychology, this particular art of astrology, music and creativity and travelling. Mercury is combust so I've problems verbalising things and I had an extreme form of social anxiety growing up because of this, it's like if I communicate things verbally, i fear that it's not going to make any sense to me and that sucks tbh. People start to perceive you as someone who is dumb and having no personality on the outside but your moon sign actually tells more about you. My moon is in the 9th house in the sign of Sagittarius and I love travelling and studying philosophy sometimes. The things that I said about wanting to get to know myself, my interests is actually based on the career. I'm still having a hard time deciding my career.

Being shy in social settings I don’t think it’s because of combusted mercury And existential crisis happens to me too as it happens to most of the people and they don’t talk about it openly if it’s something happening for you a lot may be it’s because of strong ketu in the chart and it might provoke spirituality inside you If u r interested share your birth details let me try to get some information for you

Hi Sir, just adding some points from personal exp here, My mercury (in Gemini) and Sun (in Cancer) are ~10°20" apart, (understood.. you consider 3° as combust) Either way posting my obs below. 1. Early greying of hair: I have started with very slight greying (actually whitening) in my mid thirties now (however, similar to you I have retro saturn aspecting the lagna) 2. Seeking (intellectual) goes by half: this point is not true for me.. 3. Grasping is low: this is very true for me -- in my experience, I can't grasp the simplest of concepts when someone explains even 10 times, but sometimes I can understand very complex concepts without even much explaining when my mind really wants to understand. 4. No Interest in Business: very true for me. 5. Not looking young: I'd say not true for me. 6. Stammering: not true for me, I can communicate pretty well, although I had these much in childhood 7. OCD / ADHD etc..: this is very true for me.. (although I think this could be owing to other placements in my chart) again mostly when I was younger. Basically combust or not I will be taking the advice of doing pranayama/yoga/meditation anyday.. 👍🏽
