Class 37 CONVOY at Crewe Gresty Bridge! Europhoenix acquire 37069, 37218 & 37423..!

See 37901 & 37611 which are despatched to Crewe Gresty Bridge DRS to collect 37069, 37218 and 37423 which have recently been purchased by Europhoenix from DRS. The 3 recently acquired locos are headed to Leicester LIP.
37901 arrives on depot first and is positioned onto the front of the shed. 37611 comes on next and shunts 37218 into position, at the head of 37069 and 37423 which are DIT.
The convoy is delayed leaving Crewe Gresty Bridge due to issues with 37901 I believe. I ran out of time to capture the departure from Crewe however some good views of Gresty Bridge depot and the shunt.

I bet the DRS employees were sad to see them go. Very happy about the remaining 37s with DRS being sold to Europhoenix and Andania engineering. I was a bit worriewd they might go to the scrappers or get exported like the HSTS

You'd think DRS would have cleaned up 069 after Sandite duties. Imagine doing some off roading in your car and not bothering to clean it before prospective buyers come to see it for sale 🙂

You would have to have special permission to be on base where the video was taken or Im sure you can guess the 2nd option.

No - That’s still owned by DRS for now. It’s parked in the Coal Yard around the corner from Gresty Bridge. 👍

Only the front loco was under power on the mainline. The middle 3 all shutdown. 901 & 611 swapping at each reversal as to which was working up front and which idling on the back
