Thanks for viewing and it was a pity that the crew appeared to slacken off somewhat as its the distinctive sounds of these first generation locos including the HST that make them worth going out to capture.🎥👍

Good Day Stephen. My email railfan bud Scott was down the platform from you getting his photo(s) and he forwarded your vid out. Looks to have been a number of interested parties there catching the action, and well worth it I'd say! There's not much good passenger service like that here in Coquitlam (Vancouver), BC Canada... Currently only a once a week VIA Canadian, and a few daily West Coast Express commuter trains that only run early AM and after 1600 Hrs return. All the rest is freight only. Cheers and Happy Easter. This was actually a special easter excursion train and not one of the regular service trains which are frequent on this busy route between Edinburgh and Aberdeen. This line sees little freight activity as unlike Canada and the US where the distances are much greater, most time critical freight is nowadays transported by road trucks. I think that they slackened off when they approached the station as there is a slight down grade there so I did not get the loud growl I was hoping for. Anyway it gets you out of the house so thanks for viewing.
