My best play in munchkin was convincing someone to let me (an elf) help them beat a monster, so we’d both go up to level 10 together and tie. Then I played a card that said something like, “Play when someone thinks they’ve won. They go back down to level 9.” And I was the sole winner. A lot of evil laughter followed.

Its just sad the elf card actually cant make you win as stated on the card-, but even if they saw it after you won you could have laughed at them for not noticing, mario kart rules!

@@grynte1 It doesn't say that on the card. The whole card says "+1 to Run Away. You go up 1 Level for every monster you help someone else kill."

@@grynte1 I used to think this too but alas, Steve Jackson himself has clarified that you can win this way as the elf's level is gained as a result of helping to kill a monster. It would be nice if the card said 'This can be the winning level' though just to be extra clear.

You can't win the game after helping them beat a monster. YOU have to kill a monster to gain level 10. You didn't win. In rules it goes: "The first player to reach Level 10 wins . . . but you must reach Level 10 by killing a monster". Jokes on u, bud.

Me screaming as you discard doppelgänger. Easily one of the best cards in the game. All while you had wishing ring. Another great card that can prevent a curse.

At the very least, lose it to the curse, and force everyone to discard 500 gp. Also, watching them do Charity instead of carrying items.

I love how the first curse ash literally discards one of the best cards in the game. A game winning card and he discards it. Tisk tisk

I recommend playing this game again with the 'Fast Play' variant (represented by the running shoe). In my experience, it does not speed up the game at all but reduces the amount of top-decking luck the game has, as you draw a door card before kicking one down and you loot the room from the treasure deck. It's a small addition that greatly improves gameplay :)

There have been other video games based off the card game that has not been the actual card game. That this company did an actual translation of the game, correctly, deserve some credit. Looks like a fine translation of the card game.

If I remember there are a few sets of death rules, and the "nice" version is that you just lose all your stuff.

It depends on the monster and how strong it is. Monsters under level 4 typically have "Bad Stuff" limited to theft, stat nerfs, or class/race removal. Level 4 and upwards can feature death as a consequence to losing a battle, which in Munchkin means starting over from scratch.

I LOVE MUNCHKIN!! have most of the decks and didn't even know they were doing a steam version!!! Shame they don't do a multipack deal on this so you can buy it as a group of friends but for a tenner I can't complain I suppose.

this is amazing! I really hope they add dlc for the other Munchkin games. I would love to have the ability to pick and choose what vertions to play with. I am not saying I would play a space/western and roleplay Firefly or anything .>

We used to call this game, Friend Ender, lol. It's a fun game, but since it's new in t his format I think you all were doing a lot of reading and not a lot of talking about your strats which made it seem kinda of long. They game had a lot of "put this card here, now put this card there" which wouldn't bother you on later plays.

Yeah, Munchkin actualy re-ignite boardgame industry and one of games that, well, popularise them out of "only for total nerds/I only played monopoly" category. It is... Well, actualy not as good to my taste and there are already so much more better boardgames there, but impact that Munchkin did to boardgames is huge. In some way its became a new monopoly, when many people, well, only played Munchkin

Most of my games ended with fighting against weak monsters when everyone put all their debuffs on a previous not important fight :)

I dont think cutting out that gameplay was necessary. People who are watching to learn how to play could of used that bad rng to learn more on how to recover. Not to mention all the cards and decisions made along the way to see what different cards do what, etc. Idk. Just my opinion. Good video either way

Had a game where despite me being the one who shuffled, every time I kicked the door I got some really high monster that I could not fight. And whenever I looted the room it gave me race locked stuff I could not use. I ended the game at level 1. Sometimes RNG just be that way.

I wish they made this game free to play then paid expnasions, paid characters and maybe paid emojis stuff. Would get more people into the game. Its too expensie. I only bought it because i wanted to learn the rules and real life game so good. Unless you all got mics though this is no where near as good.

Needs to be registered with e-Mail to whatever server to play this with others that ALSO must purchase the game. Quality is under what some Flash games have/had. It's a rip off. Don't buy it!
