It is considered one of the best playoff series in EuroLeague history. A year after Panathinaikos Athens bested Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv in the championship game, the same teams battled for five tough games with a spot at the Final Four on the line. It all came down to Game 5, in which neither team gave up leading to a close finish.

@@panagiotiszezas2188 το Οακα χωράει κάτι λιγότερο από 20.000 για την ακρίβεια... Πιστεύεις ότι όντως δεν υπήρχαν 3-4 χιλιάδες παραπάνω άτομα;;; εδώ φάγαμε και πρόστιμο πριν 2 χρόνια με την ρεαλ αν θυμάσαι επειδή είχαμε πολύ παραπάνω κόσμο (τσέκαρε το αν δεν το γνωρίζεις το γεγονός)

Please, just stop and have a look on Diamantidis tremendous performance. He played for nearly the whole game (33') and was the best of his team for every index (25 pts, 6 reb, 3 ast, 4 stl). Despite the mere statistics he had a tremendous impact on the game on both ends, conditioning Maccabi offense and guiding each single offense of Pao (except some minutes, when Jasikevicius was on the court). With the current assists counting he would have had them doubled, at least. He draw 12 (!) fouls and made 15/18 FT (!), including the last crucial 5/6. On top of that it is impressive to me, how he kept his focus while complaning and motivating teammates in each single possesion, including that last famous (taunt)-talking with Pnini. Ladies and gentlemen you would hardly see someone more impactful on a basketball court.

The last 10 minutes of the video watch carefully the time-out of the David Blatt is just a clinic. It's amazing how do they following the plans almost perfectly and did it everything on the court that they speak on the time out, easy baskets with the backdoor cut, very smart offense against switch defense. I love that video!

Diamantidis clearly has his hand on the ball, no foul there. You can literally see it + no one from Maccabi is complaining. Indeed, great game. I was in OAKA that night, and although we couldn't breathe at times, the game was amazing.

there was no chance the judges was calling for foul to Maccabi at the last seconed with the 20000 Pao fans there, even if Burstein was stabbed with a knife they will no call for foul and that's the reason no one from Maccbi was complain. but foul there was
