The Sea-King is a very iconic helicopter. In this video a German Sea-King is showing off its capabilities during the SAR meet in Koksijde in Belgium. For the Belgians the Sea-King is a familiar sight as the Belgian Air Force operated five of these helicopters in the bast on this airbase. The Germans are nowadays one of the last users of the Sea-King in Europe making the type a rare sight. The crew of this helicopter seemed to be a very experienced crew as they showed the best performance during the which exercise shown in this video. The German Sea-King crew were therefore the winners of the SAR meet competition in this year’s edition. Next to that it is exciting to see the Sea-King during a training like this. Just enjoy its characteristic sound!
