Mary embraces the British countryside with fresh and honest bucolic cooking inspired by what is grown on farms and in gardens, from a joyous pasta inspired by a classic French herb sauce to a perfect way to partner asparagus and how to serve up the most scrumptious roasted vegetables. Mary makes her way through vegetable rows and orchards, ending with her own inspired version of tarte tatin. To further explore the green fields she takes a step back in time to journey on one of the Watercress Line's 19th-century steam trains, where she leaves the stove to help fire up the 300-tonne engine.
Classic Mary Berry is a new 6 part series that celebrates what makes Mary Berry such a brilliant cook, teacher and inspiration. Each food-filled episode focuses on a different style of dish, some well-known and others brand new to our kitchens. But all of them are made with Mary's very own style of cooking - simple accessible skills and techniques, few ingredients and her distinctive cheeky shortcuts that are so easy to follow. Its this loving and fuss free approach to home cooking that has given Mary Berry such an exceptional career and keeps her firmly placed as one of the countries favorites.
No one can make it as easy and delicious as this its cooking that is just very Classic Mary Berry.

Merry Berry is 83 years old and still so fit and young looking and how on earth does she remains so thin with decades of cooking? Love her and what a joy it must be to have her as a grandmother or mother ❤

My financial situation is changed considerably so I’ve been thinking how can I give a great gift that covers his entire family and I have decided to give your cookbook to the family so that they cook together and dine on wonderful food❣️❣️♥️ I can’t think of a better gift and I especially love the cookbook you’ve been seeing during easy meals as you travel and find different styles of cooking because all of these families enjoy Chinese and Italian and Mexican and then just plain comfort simple food which you have not to mention fantastic desserts that can be put together very quickly with things most of us have in our pantry . Sadly I’m not able to go and cook or bake with my grandchildren with my children like I did …. With the exception of one of the families, I change refer to the children as MINE because in one case the children were preemies and I was in their house for 3 to 5 months before they were born is mommy was continuously we ran to the ER… Very scary time as doctors here again on the second baby she would Tell us my daughter or the baby or both would Most likely Not make it through the night. This was a very difficult time for my daughters husband as well as myself but eventually we had a beautiful baby he was born with a number of health issues but within 3 to 4 weeks she was a able to come home and greet her older sister and now she’s a robust very smart and very talented eight-year-old home I will be home. They live 2 1/2 hours away and it is my prayer that someday soon I will be healthy enough to go and visit for a week and cook with her and bake with her and cute paintings with her I’m still just FaceTime. These girls are growing up fast, very fast. Then I have two boys that King live with me as infants… The oldest one that is 21 now came to live with me at the age of 10 days when his mother abandoned him. My son and I made an arrangement that the baby would stay with me and go to work with me as I had my own business and he will continue on with his job and I would take care of my grandson. I was in heaven to be honest. It was about 18 months later that the mother came back and said she wanted to cry again and of course what was my son to say …. No I can’t trust you you’re a real creep… That’s what I wanted him to say but he loved her and he took her back only to find out within a couple of weeks she was pregnant with another man’s baby and that’s why she really came back!! Once again, grandma she’s a rescue and FaceTime he was an infant that came to live with me he came in about 15 months and I’ll never forget when I flew out to get him… He had to dimples and blue eyes and nobody could tell that little guy know but he was in desperate need of food and closing in and she put it “ nutrition us”, and that is why is the age of three he began calling me mommy. I told my son he was calling me mommy and I asked him if I should correct him and he said no you are a mother to him mom and eventually we’ll both talk to him about it. It is heartbreaking to see what happens to a child when the mother abandoned them but despite all the pain I am I sending. our best to gives him a happy life and both of these young men LOVE to Cook or bake)!!!! Well I believe in letting a child be very hands-on at a very young age she is a showing interest so both of these boys were in my kitchen and in my art room and then my photography room and we had quite the life together… I especially love going on walks with him with my different cameras and people cannot believe I would in crushed a two year old with a Tamron lens but the youngest one had quite an eye for photography and they both were very good with art but particularly my oldest grandson and you were both in the kitchen but the youngest one was extremely getting better and better as he got older and I really thought he was going to go to culinary college but at the moment not so…He’s just When you’re out of high school. Anyway. You have a number of cookbooks and I’ll be a delight to put them together in sets of three for the family wrapped in beautiful papers vintage preferably and a ribbon for each of them and a note to the family and I hope they will enjoy it and be as excited as I am to own such a precious gift. Thank you for your shows; thank you for the joy you bring two videos and your recipes & you certainly brighten the food ❣️❣️♥️♥️

When I was a kid, I was mad on mint sauce. It was always home made and I not only had it on lamb and peas, I used to love it on roast chicken too. I still make the good, oldfashioned mint sauce when cooking lamb although I haven't had it on chicken in quite a while. I'll have to try it again one day to see if I still like it.

Ms. Berry's Tarte Tatin reminded me of my oldest brother's favourite cake. It is Pineapple Upside down Cake made the same way basically but it uses sweetened pineapples (there's a special kind of pineapple that are sweeter naturally, I can't remember the name). They used the juices as well (puree) and they do have caramelised pans just like what she did. But instead of crust/pie dough they used yellow cake batter (egg cake batter). Then it is turned right side up for serving. It's usually a summer cake.
