Having the hand size of an elf would be very beneficial doing that job for sure! But very happy to have a seized actuating arm than a clutch plate and fly wheel replacement!

Thoroughly enjoyed watching your real time thought process with regards to a diagnostic path. As a mechanic sometimes these things become a bit too second nature to us so you dont often have to think hard to work out your plan. It's always a pleasure to get a job that makes you think logically and break the system down to its constituent parts.

Hi, many thanks for the comment. I am just an enthusiastic DIYer learning through doing, so I suppose you can see my simple efforts to navigate through the problems! I keep surprising myself when stuff I am fettling with works out!

@MiniJay250 We use a nice little acronym with our apprentices - KISS, Keep It Simple, Stupid. If you don't overcomplicate things you'll always get your desired result. I'll be following from now on mate 👍

Mine did the same. Sprayed wd40 on slave piston and worked it. Clutch pedal was good after that.

Hopefully that has cured the fault. Need to get it road worthy and test properly and see it if stands up to regular use. It’s only being started for short periods with a quick test. Only used 1st&2nd. And reverse gears yet.

Looks like the brakes are a bit jammed up while you move, should make for smoother clutch when they are refurbished ?
