@@Jeffrulz I'm a hardcore listener and I actually remember this was the stretch of time where this was happening a lot because the callers repeatedly said they could barely hear anybody. It was on the show's end but they were too stupid to figure it out. Pretty much everyday Opie would have his sulking in a corner time because a caller kept talking.

Only ten minutes in and shaking my head at Opie talking with authority about what prison is like. A lot of those guys on Lockup are showing off for the camera because it's so incredibly boring in there. County jails are way more violent then prisons. Those are usually the ones with the gang wars because they're all mixed together, don't have jobs or school to occupy them, and are pre-trial so still have a shot to leave. Not to mention that those shows film the tiers with the craziest, scariest guys. With all the reforms, most prisons just aren't like that anymore.

The old "I walked in and punched the biggest guy in the prison" is of course a joke but if you find yourself incarcerated and someone confronts you? doesn't matter how big you or they are you better not back down. If you back down you won't get your ass kicked that day, you'll get your ass kicked every day you're there.

Haha wtf?? What prison is like this? Movie/T.V. prison is NOT how prison is. I did 10 years when I was in my 20's. As long as you mind your own business and stand up for yourself, your fine. I'm white, so I stayed as far away from blacks as possible and I never borrowed anything. I got into 1 fight in 7 years. Maximum security dormitories might be rough but not were I was.

OPie is a sociopath when it comes to talking, he moans a bit when callers interrupt him whilst hes the main one that plows over everyone and half the time he does this with repeating an inane point and then at 16:18 he acknowledges he has cut jimmy off but then plows over him again anyway, im really surprised he wasnt really called out for this a lot

@@NothingToPointOut24 Love that you think you pegged my mindset via that one comment lol. But I mean, since you're the expert on this dude and all, what respected/legit set was he from then exactly? Please inform me of the "facts", kind sir. I've been around Crips and gang activity in general my whole life and not a single one of them would ever claim someone like him as one of their own lmao. Never. I don't know how tough the "gangs" are in the gated community that he lives in, but I can guarantee that he wouldn't do too well outside of it lol. And nice example you tried there, but it really doesn't work at all considering anyone has an equal opportunity to become a doctor. A gang member? Not so much.

I know 3 people that did legit prison time. First 2 i've worked with and both were sentenced for selling Cocaine. Both said that their stay wasn't the cliche "constant fighting, guys getting raped etc." they said every day was mostly a hang out, played cards and bullshitting with each other. The 3rd guy i know was completely different. This guy is a white motorcycle gang member and was constantly fighting with blacks. I didn't ask him flat out and he never told me, but i think it's safe to assume he linked up with some sort of "Aryan" gang or whites only. He's been out a few years now, but he was in his 60's fighting all the time which has to be exhasuting mentally and physically. He's built like a pro wrestler though which i'm sure helped.
