Hmm. That's odd. I saw both as a kid. I remember the other one had a faucet dripping, A father praticing a song on a violin, A mother vacuuming, A teenager listening to a song on the radio, And a subway train going by. And I also remember this film too. Great memories.

The wind chimes before the snoring used to make me nervous because the snoring person's face didn't show until I heard that person snore. Every part after the snoring sounded pretty funny to me.

Went down a rabbit hole of watching Classic Sesame Street segments. This one and it's counter part had interesting parallels in my eye on a personal level and both remind me of my mother-in-law. My mother in law has a dirt bike (still rides it at age 58) and it sounds similar to the motorcycle in this segment. Also the other household sounds segment where there's a young girl listening to music while her mom vacuums, that girl looks very similar to how she would've looked as a teenager in the early 80s.

This one particularly sticks out in my mind. Love the trumpet playing. This whole video is so soothing.

Great stuff, how the lady could sleep through the noises made around the house really amazes me.

I will always remember this clip by the dirt bike, I thought it was so cool and wanted to be on it! I thought the house was near a train track for some reason and remember a kitchen (?) and vacuum, but maybe those are just false memories...?

Either this and the other household films are from at least the 1980s, or they are from the 1970s, and in which case, I would have forgotten about them, somehow. Still, entertaining ways, to teach the great variety of sounds, around your house! BTW, I hope someone has and posts this similar film, from the 1970s, on various sounds, like the crashing of waves on the shore, a clock ticking, your heartbeat, a cricket chirping at night, etc,,(and twice, you hear the narrator's voice say,"Listen!")The second time the narrator says,"Listen!" what we see, is a boy in bed, at night,(the sound of the cricket chirping, part), then the camera closed in on the boy's ear, as the sound of a train comes on--other sounds were a fast copying machine, a sledgehammer, an old ringing school bell, and finally, a kids' marching band, playing "Yankee Doodle." It was on KZfaq, but seems to have been pulled. Anyway, that one was shown a lot, in the 1970s, on Sesame Street. If anyone has it,please post it.

Great to see this one up here solo. I know it was part of one of the episodes Deanmo23 uploaded. If my memory serves, I saw this one a lot more frequently as a kid than the other one.
