Hello everyone, Frost here. Welcome back to a new episode of rags to riches. In our previous 2 episodes we covered high end grinding spots in silithus and deadwind pass. Today we're going to cover one specific class grind that has been long requested on this channel. Using trickery, deception, stealth and lockpicking to hunt for treasures. If in the past we touched on ways to make gold with professions and outdoor grinding spots, something that was suited for the majority of the playerbase, today our focus is going to be on the loner class, the rogue. As you might know already, rogues might not be the best class for making friends in classic wow. But not worry, after this guide you will have so much gold that will allow you to buy your very own friends in the upcoming release of classic wow.
The episode 10 is also the first guide tested and filmed on the classic beta, so without further ado, lets explore.
The reason we're venturing to the far corners of eastern kingdooms is to stealth grind the creepiest side of the monastery. Deep inside the graveyard you can find two treasure chests: A locked large ironbound chest and a large solid chest. They each can contain potions, a variety of trade materials such as herbs, mineral and rare gems, uncommon and rare items up to level 30, some of which can be best in slot twink items for both 29 and 39 brackets. On top of this the chests have an increased chance of dropping the large knapsack, a 12 slot backpack. I did this grind when beta was capped at level 30 with a level 30 rogue for about 1 day /played. Opened about 250+ chests and managed to make about 350 gold from the items obtained and sold to vendor or auction house. You have to understand that since the beta was capped at 30, the meta in the economy was changed resulting in lower level items and trade material having and inflated price. Yet again, even in a normal economy this spot will still be a gold mine because some of the items you get will maintain their high price even in a normal economy.
During the tests I did in this location both at level 30 and level 40, I've managed to obtain 30+ large knapsacks, 3x Forest tracker shoulders, 2x Kalioscope chains, 2 Necromancers leggings, 1 Butcher , 1 scarlet boots and a variety of blues, greens and rare recipes with decent value.
