I really like the live videos, becouse they give me an insight to your thought process while playing the game and making decisions, and also just talking about the game normally. But replays are also cool, since you nac pick out some EPIC battles that we can enjoy ;)

Some additional points to add to this video on Yamato. 1. The diamond cit apply both the front and rear of Yamato. Not just the front as many believe. I have nailed multiple Yamatos that do not angle correctly especially from the rear to only get shocked when I cit them in the rear when exposing themselves. Not many BB players are aware of this. 2. While the unique upgrade is not required it does help by improving the vertical spread dispersion to make it tighter. This helps to improve long-range shots on smaller ships like cruisers where it is noticed the most. It is not required but you will notice the difference that makes it a nice upgrade that is recommended to obtain. 3. Yamato is most effective as a long to mid-range BB. Due to the caliber of the guns, one will notice more over-pen damage up close versus shooting targets 12km plus to allow the shot to arm that impacts the overall damage output. This is why Yamato is so effective mid to long range and then can push to mop up mid to end of the match. 4. While good armor for Tier 10 she can be easily farmed by HE and CVs if she over-extends on map positioning. Decent speed to move on the map but very difficult to impossible to reroute if the ship is over-extended without presenting her weak spots. 5. One of the few BBs at Tier 10 that is most effective with support around her. Always pay attention to DD and sub-locations on the minimap and act accordingly. Due to her long main gun traverse times, a solo Yamato is a vulnerable Yamato that is easily countered by DD/subs as the main guns will not keep up with a fast-moving target up close. It is best not to be placed in that position. Situational awareness is key.

I like both types of videos - in the live gameplay there is a good coverage of your moment-to-moment decision making, whereas in the commentary ones you have a more top-down perspective (team positioning, etc.). Both are very illuminating.

I like both. Understanding the ship and how it plays from replays. Live decision making thoughts is a good teaching video.

I came a across your feed watching The Mighty Jingles, I several months ago. I personally just enjoy the fact that You're commenting on your own games pointing out your own mistakes and not cherry picking 'good' ones. Heck I don't even play WoW but I enjoy the game play. I'll pretty much listen to anything you put up. Keep up the good work and may you always shoot true.

The replays with commentaries are always good. I really enjoy your content! Especially that you both show gameplay, tell about a ships strength and positioning, and most of all - thoughts and examples of build. VERY very good and very appriciated :)

Both kinds of videos are great. The Live ones we get exactly what you are thinking and get to see live how it works out. The replay videos are great because you are able to give more context/info and are also able to speed up through uninteresting portions of the games. Funny thing is, I don't even play the game, but I enjoy your videos nonetheless.

Both are great! Live videos I like a lot because you really pinpoint different decisions and events that happen ingame. Post videos really explain different topics in different way. Keep em both!

I really enjoy post game and live commentary, they each bring something different. I really like hearing your live thought process and watching how you try to deal with less than ideal situations. Post commentary can open up the opportunity for more in depth discussion on certain topics or tactics since you aren't actively trying to play as well. Ultimately really enjoy your videos in whichever format.

Like everybody here, I like the 2 kinds of video. The live one permit to see your state of mind live and the process. The after commentary is also good to describe the situation and the more in deep thinking.

I like the live games a lot since I can experience the exact moment when you take certain decisions - something I myself struggle a lot with tbh :D In any case, love your vids - keep up the good work! :)

Live commentary is so good but recordings also provide a different aspect, which is evaluation. It makes it possible to think about what could've been done better, or correct choices as well. Both formats have their own unique flavor and personally I enjoy them both.

As others are saying I really appreciate both types. The live thought process is valuable and always entertaining while the analytical replay style vids are good for more focused topics/information if that makes sense. Side note: it's great to see you still having fun with the game and making content despite WG's best efforts to drive us all away to other games lol.

While having a little variety never hurts, I don’t want you to overthink on having a “schedule” or “formula” to have to stick to. I enjoy both styles personally of content, maybe make some videos on proper tactics for clan wars and what are good combo's of ships to bring this season. Which I believe you've done so in the past but would enjoy an update due to the new ships coming to the game, thanx a lot for making the community better players over all :)

I've really enjoyed live commenting/format for videos. If the person doing the commentary is a very good player with a lot more understanding of the game and it's mechanics, being able to see their thought process of all the different angles etc during the game, and it's beneficial to those watching since we could potentially pick out what we are missing or not doing to become better players. I watched the first Halo Infinite Championship and really payed attention to what they were doing, applying it to my own gameplay and immediately there were some major improvements and I easily topped the leaderboards!

To your question: I like both. Both have value. The live games are fun as we hear your thinking and see how things work out. The post game review is very useful as you can add editorial on looking back and giving an evaluation on what was attempted vs how it worked out.

I like more post-commentary type video! Just because on live ones we do focus on bad RNG or unlucky salvo (not so impactful on improving my gameplay, it happens). On post-comm. ones, we analyze more positioning, teamplay and cap control. Very interesting. Keep up with content!

There's a place for both styles of video, I appreciate having both. I would say if one is easier to do than the other then maybe rely on that for your more frequent content and then reserve a couple videos a week for the other.

The Yamato, a ship that stood the test of time and meta in WoWS. Despite a big nerf to her survivability in the form of her super heal which never came back, and the quality of life update in the form of the Legendary Mod and a slightly faster turret traverse. But much like the Atago, she's stood the test of time. A very straight forward ship, no real gimmicks other than overmatch, and a rather standard way of playing too. You could call her the only True Battleship in T10.

I think both are good formats for different times of ships. I think for battleships or slow moving games like yamato here it is perfect to do it after because there is relatively "low action" that you can fill. When you play a dd and push I might not wanna listen to what you were able to buy at a flea market last week :D But overall enjoy both

My favorite videos are the one take but this is very cool too. If you want my opinion, we need both but one take are very useful

I like them both, but find the live commentaries more benefical for my game because I can look back at those video's and compare what you did to what I did (or should have done) and learn the thought process. Until you're last video, I never thought about sitting in a gap waiting for a BB trying to cross there as a good spot for a torp drop. I would just barrel ahead to get the cap.

i like my legendary mod yamato, it also is a really good gateway to learning satsuma, seeing you do have the accuracy, but you still have the 2nd biggest guns in t10, only other one that does is shiki

@Potato Quality, in one of your videos you mention a couple of ship weak spots. Maybe do a video of each ships weakness to aim for? Or top 10 weak spots to aim for. The video you mentioned the Ranger weak spot is under her stacks.

I love the live commentary. What i think would be very helpful would be if you did a new players series. There are an astonishing amount of new, and some not so new players that don’t understand basic game mechanics. Maybe this could be a series?

Starting with a Yamato would have been great. Sadly I was hit by the "must start at tier 1" bug.

I like your live commentary when you're teaching your decision making, and we get to see the repricussions of said decision made. You can make bad plays, and it's much better to see the though process in correcting them, and you can make good plays, in which we get to see what led up to that. I like your post commentary when you're reviewing a ship, or tournament or something.

I only watch ur YT videos (which are #1 WoWs YT imho) because always, when I look out for your twitch ... you're offline. maybe because I'm a Europe guy and time zones suck :D

I like both ways PQ. Live videos we see you actually get frustrated with all the B.S. from WG. CVs, Subs, Aim bugs etc. Pre-Recorded videos show the best of the best. Cream of the crop of the ship you are discussing. I feel both work. What I'd like to see is more detail into grinding, captain management, ship exp management, gunnery skills, ships that aren't in game anymore (smaldand, Smolensk, Georgia, etc) Unique commander ship recommendations and how to best use them (Smanskey Brothers for example) Keep up the good work!

I prefer the edited videos. That was always your style which made you stand up from many other wows creators. Gets the point efficient instead of watching a way to long video where I have to filter the key points myself

Funny that Mountbatten's vid was about "Which BB is the best" and he spoke about how "Depends on what you like and how you play." But, he pointed out that the IJN is the best to start your grind with, for all the reasons you give. I started with IJN and US, but the former was FAR more enjoyable, at least up to Izumo (just not nearly as responsive as previous ships). I like the ingame commentary because it tells us what you're thinking in the moment.

live commentary is great, the most difficult thing about the game for me is decision making. i understand what ships are good for what, what i dont know is where to be and why etc. So they really help to understand why youre doing what youre doing in real time rather than you saying "i think i was doing this here because of this." either way though even your other vids are awesome and you do a fantastic job at explaining your process in those, i just prefer the live, i get to see your screw-ups and reaction as it happens. keep up the good work PQ

I think a mix of the two would be better. Post-commentary allows you more time to consider what information to give for certain events and such but live gives us he extra when you get a great salvo or take a good slapping and hear the changes in the voice and such with excitement, and associated laughing etc, or despair ;~)

Yamato gets really good once you get its legendary module. It just becomes a 460mm rail gun platform.

I am not a BB main but since I put the unique upgrade in, Yamato is the BB I do best in. I wish all BB's were that consistent and accurate. Even with the spotter plane you can hit stuff at 25+ km's. The shells are slow but once you get the hang of them, they are deadly. And as long as you don't let anyone shoot you in the cheeks, you're pretty durable as well.

I ike the live commentary because it gives a more realistic insight into the game and how to handle situations even if it not turns out perfectly. And I feel less bad because also youtubers loose 2 games in a row from time to time

both have their charms. Keep both. Sometimes live gives live reaction which shows how humane someone is. Reviewing your record is fresh in a way it gives me urge to play since I get more information about how to play better

Live commentary and play is a much more realistic option in my opinion. It shows the reality of the game and the results that are more common. In recorded videos and subsequent comments we can choose the best games and show the ship in the best light, most players including me are not even close to the super unicum level of the game so it is much more interesting to see more realistic results. I enjoy the Yamato though I prefer my Shikishima. Both have slow shells but yamatos are much slower. It's Ideal to Engadge at 20km or less since it is easier to calculate your shell flight time to target, where as over 20km it will take an entire Lord of the rings trilogy before your shells land. With Yamato I go for a full guns build with heavy AP so my salvoes smack. One thing to watch out for with Yamato is carrier games, because when it comes to AA, you might as well through soy sauce at enemy planes so stick close by to a ship with good AA.

Please do live battles of underrated ships or ships that have a stigma.

The reason I watch your videos is because you offer insight into the game that I don’t have. A live commentary although great for understanding your thought process to inform your audience could also diminish your message as there is a lot of things in a match that are hard to see and predict and everyone could probably benefit from watching their own replays. Therefore I would prefer to see after game commentary with a emphasis on your thought process and decision making witch may be hard but I think would be the most informative and I love the videos where you show your mistakes. That being said live commentary with reactions is much more entertaining especially in ridiculous games with many dev strikes and few det flags so I say do both just don’t go full react bro and keep being informative.

All three types are great: - gameplay reviews like for the BF ship are so good; we actually get to know how that ship performs (or should) and see capable hands in it (and if it is worth our money) - one takes, so we see two full games with "live" decisions, really vaulable lessons - replays; live vids can get pretty unpredictable and you might not be able to keep your train of thoughts on its track. I really love your replays for this, because they are more calm and up to the topic. The only bad thing about them are spoilers "...unfortunately, this won´t prevent the loss..." and things like this in the middle of the vid. How can we cheer you and live the battle with you when we know this? So keep all those coming, I would only say make it more of a mix. Black friday was a week of "gameplay of ships I won´t buy nor play" so I really avoided your channel for that period (except Cossack one, cause i have that one).

An interesting possibility would be a hybrid. Do the 'live' commentary, then ADD a commentary at relevant points as to how things you were expecting etc in fact worked out, or indeed any other things you feel relevant. That would give an interesting view of just how you predict things and then how well they match your predictions. Would also give you the chance to add thoughts/ideas etc that occur to you as you watch the replay. I think that could prove to be the best of both worlds. Not only very interesting in itself, but potentially very valuable in terms of learning even better predictive skill as that seems to me to be one of THE most defining differences between good and great players. Not sure on the mechanics of how to do that, but I'd imagine it's possible. Well, just a suggestion for you to consider. Cheers

In a brawl knowing you can land the killing shot but knowing you have other ships with you..... Diverting attention to a secondary target knowing your main target is about to die. It's the mark of a good player. Influence and team efficiency over personal stat padding. Sometimes you can have 7 kills with 11k total damage.... Sometimes you can have 0 kills with 240k damage.

I did not figure out yet, how to get that legendary mod - so I run yamato with reload mod, instead. And I get NOTHING done with it. As if they balanced yamato around that legendary mod. And without it, it does not hit a barn from the inside.

Still one of the best BBs in the game, regularly get over 200k damage games. (Please check my Yama vid for more gameplay tips). As for video types, both have value to be honest. I think I prefer post commentary personally.

Greetings I watch like 4-5 wows streamers at youtube and I miss a lot one format. Some teaching! There are lots of mechanic/modes guides, ship reviews super good games etc. But i came from Wot and there are few steamers who show some reaplays and teach others things like "from here with this ship you can fire here and there, this place is good for this ship bcs this and that, this island is strong bcs this that" etc etc etc. They have series how to play maps. I am kinda bad player to be honest but i find difficulty to find some content which can help me get better. I would like some series with this one.
